OC Register interviews Taylor Hicks

If you're a Taylor Hicks fan and wanted to learn some interesting pieces of information to share with your friends about him, you've come to the wrong place.

The OC Register recently did a telephone interview with Mr. Soul Patrol and learned he didn't really have all that much to say.

Hicks seemed a little standoffish with his responses and just didn't seem very willing to give anything more than a reserved answer to the interviewer's questions (you can see him give the same treatment to our very own Jay Black here).

While we as fans love for our favorite entertainers to maintain the level of charisma they so easily display on the stage in all aspects of life, I suppose we should recognize it may not come naturally for everyone. Perhaps Hicks falls into this category.

At the same time, imagine you just won American Idol and that you suddenly found yourself doing hundreds of interviews a month.

Eventually, you'd start hearing the same questions over and over again and what could you do besides repeat the answers you'd given on them previously? Ultimately, you'd probably just kind of zone out from the redundancy of it all. At least that's how I'd imagine it to be.

Anyhow, there are still some pieces of info that can be gleaned from the interview. For instance, Taylor is a big Jackson Browne fan, and he likes watching his peers from American Idol grow as artists.
