Paris Hilton headed to jail!

by Bob Sassone, posted May 4th 2007 9:02PM

Paris Hilton...tonight, on a very special episode of The Simple Life.

OK, maybe they won't make it part of the show, though I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Paris Hilton has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation, and being a moron. Well, not that last part, but definitely for violating her probation. She is going to have to show up to jail on June 5, and the judge is not going to let her do a furlough or wear a monitoring bracelet or any other easy way out. Doesn't sound too "hot."

Now comes the part where all of you unleash your comments below and let us know if this is a good thing or not, and make jokes about what jail will be like for Paris Hilton. The jail she's going to is the same place that held O.J. Simpson, and their main meal is usually chicken.

Im not sure why everyone thinks she will be out of the media while shes in jail (please please make her do the full 45 days!!! not 2 hours like Michelle Rodriques) I can see it on Extra now, Paris was out in the yard for 55 minutes today, Paris wont eat prison food etc. It will be the ssdd.

I cant understand why anyone would feel sorry for this spoiled narcissistic bitch. She broke the law and flaunted it in court by saying "I have people to read my mail" basically fuck you and your laws I dont have time for them. I do what I want and have people to clean up my messes. Its called accountability for your actions. Being rich does not excuse her as much as she would hope.

Well this will be 2 firsts for her. Number 1 would be going to jail and number 2 would be being out of the spotlight for a while.

It certainly appears that she showed a near complete contempt for the law.

According to: http://tinyurl.com/2au792 the series of events was this:

She was initially pulled over on September 7th with a blood alcohol level of .08, which is over the legal limit in CA

She pled "no contest" in January to a charge of reckless driving, (so I would guess she got a little bit of a break there as I would suspect DUI/DWI is a harsher charge than reckless driving.

Around these parts a DUI/DWI has a mandatory 2 day jail term).

She was sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines

On January 15th she was pulled over again, and officers made her sign a document that stated she was driving on a suspended license

On February 17th she was pulled over at 11 PM when officers said she was speeding with her lights off, and she was charged with violating her probation. A copy of the document she signed on January 15th was in the glove compartment at the time.

She was required to register for alcohol education classes by February 12th but as of April 17th she still had not done so.

So all it appears she DID do was pay the fine; which isn't much of a penalty for someone who is worth millions.

Her mother and her attorney made comments such as how it was "pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money " and "bordered on the ludicrous". I'd have to agree. It is pathetic and disgusting that within weeks after being sentenced on the original charge she was pulled over again. It is a waste of taxpayer money for prosecutors to spend time on a multimillionaire who doesn't feel compelled to follow the laws everyone else must, leaving them less time to deal with crimes of a more serious nature. And it is ludicrous to not expect any consequences for failing to follow the courts ruling by blowing off part of your sentence, an alcohol education class.

If I got caught driving with a suspended license while on probation for DUI you bet your ass I'd go to jail. Why shouldn't she?

It will be such a nice break for us not to have to hear about her every day.

She is going to get shanked by the other inmates as soon as she gets there, even though its a white collar prison. She deserves a full setence like anyone else and the one person who said we are all jealous of her, Are you an idiot?! We just want her publicist to stop cramming her down her throats, we cant take it anymore. Ours throats cant take that much of it, unlike paris's :o

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So sick and tired of hearing about the heiress and how she and all the others don't get what they deserve sooner. She has aout as much depth as an ant hill. Let's start hearing more about real human beings that have a REAL life, not a fake one, such as hers and many of the other waisted "falling" stars.

I wonder if a secret jail sex video will be found when she gets out of the pokey ? That should boost her career. Wait, don't you have to have a JOB to have a career ?

Plain simple fact, she broke the law and she violated her parole. She deserves jail time just like anyone else who did the same.

Saying "I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to." wouldn't work for a drunk driver who plowed into an oncoming car killing people, or even a drunk driver who didn't, so why should it work for Hilton? What's wrong with our culture today is that some people think that someone can drive under the influence and it's cool cos she's pretty and nice. I'd hate to be on the same road as her and any of you that think it's fine. She's lucky she didn't kill anyone this time. But what about the next time? Or the time after that if this didn't wake her up?

She didn't shoplift, and she didn't run out on a tab, she put other people's lives at risk. She needs to pay the piper just like I'd expect the regular folk to.
