I was really saddened by what Happened on The View. I did like both Rosie and Elisabeth. Unfortunately, Elisabeth was the only Conservative, which I have to say I identify with more. I did love the fact that they could have polar opposite views and still maintain a friendship, That is what made me really like the show. I was hoping that a friendship could endure Politics. I do feel that it was extremely difficult to have a different view than Rosie and that she felt that she was right and everyone else is wrong. Joy fueled this fire. Forgiveness is a wonderful gift and if Elisabeth was gracious enough to at least reach out to Rosie, than I hope Rosie can do the same. Isn't that what we try to teach our children? To be compassionate and forgiving.

...a PS'er...Rosie has put her money and time where her mouth has been as well in supporting the troops. She has contributed above and beyond to support and assistence to wounded returning(check out Fallen Hero's funding and supporters...) Lizzie thinks her whatever don't smell, was delighted to have WH invite to be included in the Queens dinner and on too many occasions, has shown her "naivete" , give her time, she needs to lead/live a real life--chances are she may be capable in future years and claim much as just "youthful indescretions" of thought and more.
As for those slambanging The View , as meant for "mere" housewife/shut ins viewing who do NOT evidently have the capacity to think regarding various issues beyod food or fashions or celebrity gossipings--which seem to be what most ASSUME are the most desired categories of topics...LOL, and tch'tche, really quite "chauvenistic" of you and indicates you have little clue as to what females DO talk/discuss/think and further fail to realize many are far more informed and willing to discuss the variety of topics and perspectives to become more informed--which obviously many of the critic's come off as incapable of. The show has been far more interesting this past year, thanks in large part to the controversy that is attributed to Rosies presence--actually has come closer to what REAL PEOPLE/females do gather round tables and dish---again, many of those critqueing have NOT a clue, or just can NOT fanthom such as are stuck in a mindset that prevents them from acknowledging reality that is NOT in their particular "veiwpointed" box. Think many need the reality check done...truth hurts, but ignorring it hurts even more...have none learned anything from the lies told regarding Iraq or even 911 ?

Suggest re-watch the full episode..note Lizzie when FIRST arrives..look at the leg/foot pumping, she was already ticked off from something or other befor show even began and Joy hit her buttons further . Rosie did ask her a straight question to which Lizzie went ballistically defensive as Rosie questioned whether or not Lizzie KNEW/thought whether what She did or did not stand fast in support of the troops..Rosie has been much maligned and had words/intendings misrepresented and twisted. The earlier conversation referenced, had to do with attempt to point out that to the OTHER SIDE , "we" come off as THE "terrorists" and for many reasons , which if one DOES BOTHER TO CHECK IS CORRECT and no different than wht WE would feel should we have been invaded, bombed and rubble-ized thru out OUR homeland by an invading/occupying foreign nation who then tells us what to do and how to do it and more. Attempting to interject the OTHER POINT OF PERSPECTIVITY, COULD LEAD TO UNDERSTANDING THE SITUATION and hence, perhaps finding a WORKABLE SOLUTION. THe all or nothing , shock and awe OBVIOUSLY HAS NOT WORKED. Furthermore, this delineation , that if one does NOT support the affrontery of the instigation of this Iraq war, one does not support the "troops" is a garbage line up meant to smear all others who are NOT lockstepped behind this present WOEFUL, INEPT administration that has been one bumble, blunder and bungle after another. THe true absurdity , those that so blindeyedly lockstep truly are NOT lockstepping to support the troops in THEIR/the troops true best interests but allowing them to be fodder in this Bush folly of attempted nation building in a place we REALLY do NOT belong nor are wanted. Problem is Rosie speaks up and declares her felt anguish over it , and does not even PRETEND to just go along. Lizzie on the other hand, admits to consuming Faux Fox output and believes their presentations--incapable of stepping out of the Bush idolization box or facing the mere common sense if one bothered to think the whole shebang through from start to present for who really accepts FALSE reasonings , flim-flammery and manipulated facts to get "support" for a most egregious, on many levels, instigation of war that has cost ALL , more than ANY should have ever had to bear !!!!

As a non American, I read with disbelief what some of you people have written... this story made some waves on news shows here and OZ and as an occassional watcher of The View I was interested in what had really happened.
I can't understand so many of you have made comments about Rosie's sexual preference and her physical size. Comments about her view, fair enough but isn't that why she's there, to give her view, maybe she could present them in a less volitile, more respectful manner at times.
Surely she is allowed to question the President and the fact your country has lost so many young men and women in this war? I was horrified to see an American news show recently stating 'today the casualty count in Iraq was 9' I had no idea how many US military servicemen have died in the 'War on Terror'! The official count is nearly 3,500... are you kidding me not to question..
Elisabeth should respect that not everyone thinks the war is a good for America, it doesn't make them Anti American or even Anti Bush... perhaps just questioning before it's too late, if it isn't already... RIP 3728 (total military lives lost)

I'm surprized Rosie lasted the 8 months on the view. She brought problems and more problems to the view. Can you believe this woman has children.? She is always at shows, on her blog,
etc... not sure if she spends time with them but just imagine the rants and raves these kiddos have to put up with. Lets just pray for this sad loser.

We need a reality show to replace "The Simple Life" since Paris is going to jail. Maybe "The Complicated Life" with Rosie and Elisabeth? Bring on the mud!

I used to watch the View occasionally. After Rosie began her tenure, I looked forward to it every day. Its refreshing to listen to other women talk about politics and the war instead of listening to men do it. Sorry, but men DON'T know everything, even if they really think they do. Rosie is loud, but that's okay. Personally, I don't care if she is gay, fat, or wrong sometimes. It was and is her 'view'. She got the job from Barbara, and she did what she felt was right with it, whether it pissed off America or not. Barbara got her money's worth out of Rosie, she isn't hurting one bit. Now, who to fill the void? Too bad Goldie Hawn isn't available full time, she was a great co host a few weeks ago.

Rosie's new buz phrase- be in the light , go to the light, ha so l980's new agey. I'm so glad she is gone from the view so others can be in the light. She is all Mouth--I'm wondering if she is having testostrone injections?! She loves to dominate all. Thank God Elizabeth stood up and made her look like the dummy she really is. I will watch the view now that she is gone forever!!!!!!!Did Janette her friend on the Jahero blog draw the mustache on Elizabeth and get arrested?????anyone know

When asked to comment about Rosie leaving, Barbara Walters was tight lipped… thanks to the terrific work of her Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. Marc Katz. But she did manage to tell us the following; “We weely wanted to work things out with Wosie” as she hopelessly attempted to wink. “But it didn’t happen, so now we need to find a weplacement… Good Widdance Wosie!!..., Oh it huwts to laugh”
