Heroes season 2 spoilers

by Isabelle Carreau, posted May 26th 2007 12:13AM
Heroes A mere few days after the exploding season finale aired, spoilers for next season of NBC's hit show Heroes are starting to leak. TV Squad was able to get its hands on casting spoilers for the first two episodes of the season, which will start shooting mid-June.

(SPOILERS FOLLOW!)

The season premiere and the episode following will introduce a lot of new recurring characters and regulars. Here is, in point form, the casting spoilers TV Squad was sent about episodes 2.01 and 2.02 of Season 2 of Heroes:

  • The yet-to-be-titled Season 2 premiere will introduce new series regular Maya, a Hispanic woman in her mid 20s. Could she be linked with Alejandro who'll recur next season?
  • The episode will also introduce Kane, a recurring character that may become a possible regular. This man in his late 20s is referred, in the info we were given, as an ageless American with an European feel. He is said to be a charming womanizer who as a soul that seems to be older than he appears to be.
  • A new Japanese recurring female character will be named Princess Keriyama.
  • A few high school characters living in California will be added to the recurring cast. They are: Gay cheerleader April; charming 18-year-old West, who doesn't fit in much; May, a mean cheerleader high schooler.
  • Other recurring characters making their first appearances in the premiere are: Georgie and Blackie, two Irish thieves, who are under orders of 45ish ringleader Ricky; friendly 40-year-old mild-mannered Bob who is said to be the "unassuming face of a very powerful organization"; NYPD detective Kincaid.
  • The second episode will introduce new regular Monica. She is a beautiful African-American in her late 20s. She is very kind to people and always thinks of them before taking care of herself.
According to Reuters, four new regulars would be added to the show, including a new boyfriend for Claire (could it be West listed in our spoilers above?) and a black woman who is said to be Micah's surrogate mother (Monica?). The article says that recurrings like Ricky may do arcs instead of being regulars.

What do you think of these spoilers? Who are those people linked to in the Heroes' scheme?

The only inconsistancy i found was the episode set in the future. Claire was still alive YET Sylar had the regeneration power as Hiro had tried to stab him but Sylar had the ability to regenerate.
Everything else is plausible (well if you sugarcoat it enough :P).
And the idea that the invisible man dragged Sylar sounds feasible, best explaination yet. He could be working for "The Company", how many companies there are is unknown as i'm still not sure who the Haitian worked for either.
And cockroaches, they're scattered throughout the series, maybe it just semiotics to cause a discussion but some of the apparent inconsistancies keep the viewer asking for more (imo).

In chapter 23 the last thing we got to see was an eclipse. During the season issac paints a picture of an eclipse, Did he paint that far into the future? Or was this total fluke??

The final episode was soooooo rubbish! It hasn't put me off completely but very nearly! Why why why did they decide to contradict everything, Janice was all of a sudden a weakling, her husband took a bullet (when he could have just phase shifted) syler get almost killed by a sword when he just gets up and disappears after being shot 4-5 times. Peter.... so pitiful grrrrrrr I was infinitely disappointed, didn't anyone say to the creator "pal...why have you messed up so much of the story"

sorry to rant, but I think some people somewhere would agree with me! Oh... 5 years after was the best episode! :-)

hey
peter and nathan flew up together so the future doesnt work out bad like hiro told nathan and peter did it obv to not kill anyone else. they both had to do it to save the world
also if you look closely at the warriors in the end of the last episode you can see hiros fathers face behind one of the helmets!
as for peters scar in five years later i think maybe the kenzei sword could have done that to him or maybe another bad guy who knows
i thought it was an awesome ending and am looking foward to the new season!
although my only quandry was actually in five years later when i first saw the new faces and situations they were in i laughed and thought it didnt piece together well at all!

70. This might be repeating a question that others have asked but why didn't peter fly away at the end instead of relying on Nathan to do it and in doing so kill himself?

To answer this question and I am not positive just a hunch, but when peter was about to go nuclear it was against his will and he was trying to fight it. Because he couldnt control it maybe he couldnt control any of his powers at that time because he was overwhelmed. another posibility is maybe he can only use one power at a time and since he was using the nuke power he couldnt fly. (this second one may not be right though because i am sure that he has used more than one power at a time during the show, i just cant think of a time of the top of my head).
