Lifetime begins production on TV movie about death of Princess Diana
If you wanted to get your conspiracy theory fix and are bummed out the upcoming HBO documentary on JFK will be free of such theories, than you might want to check out The Murder of Princess Diana, a TV movie that hits Lifetime this August, the ten-year anniversary of her death.
The TV movie, based on the book of the same name by Noel Botham, will focus on a supposed conspiracy that resulted in the princess' death in a car crash.
Jennifer Morrison, who plays "Cameron" on House, is set to star, but not as Diana herself. Rather, Morrison will play a journalist who witnesses the accident in Paris and tries to find out what really happened.
Variety points out that a recent poll had showed thirty-one percent of British citizens believe Diana's death was not an accident, which isn't that surprising, since iconic figures carry a certain air of mystery with them even after they pass away. And besides, conspiracies make for much better dramatic television.
