Dave, you are corrrect, House and Bones did outstanding this TV season, I meant to state that Standoff did the best out of all of FOX's debuting shows last year. They even gained viewers I would imagine, from those of us who stopped watching new shows for the reason of watching them get the piss poor treatment Standoff got from this network.

House and Bones are good shows, established shows. However, Standoff would be in that sentence too had it also got the Amer. Idol push that other FOX hits have received. Plain and Simple. This year it was Til Death. The only thing humorous about that is that IT got the coveted lead in to pick up ratings, pityful ones at that.

Right Amy because House didn't produce decent ratings at all... only in the top 10 shows on last season. Plus Bones must have done really bad too considering that it got renewed.

It's a shame that people think white lab coats and fingerprinting technique when they hear about a good police drama/romance/action show. Standoff was clearly FOX's only show that produced decent ratings and did so against huge competition.

I suggest that people watch this show with an open mind and quit looking for the acronym CSI on everything. Standoff offers entertainment to those who really enjoy a good plot and a few twist and turns on the way to a resolution. The best part is the partnership and chemistry that we get with the leads (Livingston and DeWitt.)

Standoff deserves much better support than it has got.

Tune into Standoff! It has a nice mix between action and relationship, which is why it's been getting a lot of bad reviews from those who were expecting a crime-procedural (a la "Law and Order"), and from those who were expecting it to be more relationship/romance-centered (such as "Grey's Anatomy"). Both of which are not bad shows. It's just that Standoff is neither. And it's both. Watch it yourself, you'll see what I'm talking about.
