Barenaked Ladies on PBS
The Barenaked Ladies were one of many bands I had a brief infatuation with, but soon delegated them to "not bad, but I can't listen to them all the time" status. Still, the fellas know how to craft a good pop tune and they have great vocal harmonies, so I don't mind taking their CDs for a spin every now and again.
The band recently filmed a two-hour concert in Detroit, which will be available on TV. Or, alternatively, you can watch the concert on PBS.
When? I have no idea, but sometime later this year or in early 2008.
Also, when I said you could watch the concert on PBS, I meant you could watch a half-hour snippet of it. But it's not as if you get the two-hour version on DVD, as only fifteen songs from the original twenty-four-song set will be included on the DVD, along with a few other cool features.
Really, the only way to see the concert in full is to build a time machine, which is really simple: just decide to make a time machine, then make a note to bring yourself the time machine one second from now. If this works, you should appear next to yourself, inside your new time machine, instantaneously. Take that, Stephen Hawking!
