Hit it right on the head with that one Jim!

I still get secret laughs over whenever a celebrity makes a claim in public that gets either disproven or simply slammed down. And with Paris claiming not to 'act stupid' anymore, its just simply even funnier!

And a Happy 4th of July to all you yanky folk for tomorrow, whereas it was today for me. Which reminds me, once on holidays in the US I was asked by a female whether or not we celebrate Independance Day here in Oz...after a long painful silence of simple disbelief, I politely said no. And was later told that she was studying to become a teacher... So Happy Holidays to you all!

...and for Lisa's benefit, I will indeed respond to topic:

My theory about the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers being disinterested in Paris Hilton (sorry Tim) as a spokesperson is also due to the fact that, given Hilton's declining popularity, they don't want to have to countenance any wisecracks about having a MADD Cow Disease.

Sorry Lisa, I can't agree with you. I think Jim and Pat's fun house adds a certain panache to this vlog. I find them very funny and have been coming to this site for a few months. Maybe, you are new top this site and they need tp grow on you. Give them a few more days and then let us know how you really feel about them. Brig....another great vlog. I liked the foreign language lesson thrown in at the end! have a great 4th everybody. Enjoy!

Well, speaking of shock jocks... that's the most impressive post you've made!

I'm sorry your offended by the inter-commentary dialog in here that has gone on between Patrick and me. Frankly, though, comment sections are just one more way we have invented to enter into the global community. It takes all sorts to make a world, but the banter between Patrick and me has at least been done in the spirit of fun. Please consider the alternative to that before you find it so objectionable. (At least one person has actually gone on record to say that they enjoyed it!)

As far as my sticking to topic, I have to tell you that the topic for me is not what or who Brigitte talks about, but HOW she talks about them (okay... and Brigitte herself). Do you honestly think I care a whit about the famous and spoiled? NO! The people that Brigitte talks about are a mere floccinaucity to me. I'm here because there's an attractive 26-27 year-old gal out in Nebraska tearing these clowns apart, and doing it with a particular flare that just somehow works!

Moreover, if Brigitte is uncomfortable with my posts, her blog monitor can remove them... and, Lisa, you yourself can always levy an official complaint about me to Brigitte if you wish at brigdale@gmail.com.

George Carlin is a highly successful comedian, and I find a lot of his stuff very funny, but he's not for everybody. He can be easily billed as an irreverent humorist... just this side of shock jock. Plenty of people find his humor offensive. No doubt he will attempt to conquer sexually abused children as the final frontier in standup comedy. It's a challenge that, as far as I'm aware, no comedian has been able to meet. My point about "off limits" humor topics was directed at anyone who wished to be globally funny.

Some people just aren't all that funny, and when they try to be... especially in a roast... they bomb.
