Oh man, adorable little houses, pretty sparklers--no M-80's?

Quien sabe, maybe blowing up cute tableaux with firecrackers is just a guy thing. My son and I can launch firecrackers into the air with a slingshot for hours, and never get bored. It's all in the timing.

Created in his honour Mr. Murphy, not named. I actually have no clue what the name of it is, as I scratched the label off and will never be able to find it again. *tear*

No harm done. Mari's comment has some weight, though... you may discover that I will (and maybe even Patrick will) grow on you. I wasn't at all sure how serious you were in your complaint... I believe that Patrick took it pretty hard.

As far as a fragrance being named in honor of a deceased person, I'm sorry, but I somehow think that there's a problem with that. Can you imagine what the producers of the fragrance joked about in the board room before coming up with a final name for it? What would they call it? "Eau de Dead Guy"???

The whole celebrity perfume thing is getting out of whack to begin with. I'm not one to say that a good body spray or a nice light perfume is not a good thing and I'd be a hypocrite if I said that all the celebrity perfumes were trash as I myself use a little known type that came out a while back and was made by a singer whose husband died (she created it in his honour).

In an article of The Guardian (August 23rd of 2006 to be exact) they were interviewing Roja Dove who is a mega perfume industry 'nose' they started the article out with this

"It was Matt Dillon who once observed that "When I go really far back in time, to the days when everyone was dying of cholera and syphilis and bubonic plague, I want nothing to do with those periods. I mean, nobody showered. That's why perfume became such a popular item." Dillon has yet to offer his explanation for the popularity of celebrity perfume, but the reasons are probably similar: such fragrances are an attempt to elevate ourselves above the great unwashed."

As for the previous comments and responses, I'm sorry if I broke the flow by questioning what goes on in the video commentary set here. But before any conclusions are jumped on more I am most certainly not was I ever offended by what you all decide to do with your comment section. The opinion I stated was purely my own and I sought clarification to the reason for something I didn't quite understand.

As for 'official' complaining, I don't think anything in the comment I made should have led anyone to think that I was looking to get you or anyone else in trouble for commenting as you see fit Mr. Murphy and I'm pretty sure that the form of my comment wasn't posed in a threat to do so. I could be wrong, I get a little sarcastic sometimes.

Oh, I dunno, Patrick...

I thought the beginning was kinda cute, with Brigitte testing to see whether or not the sparklers could out sparkle her.

The one almost-scary part about it, if there was one, was the banjo music, which for some reason, I always now associate with the motion picture Deliverance. That's a movie I never wanna see twice.

"Happy Place"??? Aha! I KNEW you watched Dumb and Dumber for your inpiration! ;)

As far as fragrance names go, how about FAMADAQ... that would be an acronym for "Follow After Me And Don't Ask Questions!"

The last time I used any men's fragrance was when I was wearing a bright orange traffic vest out on a campus parking lot, writing parking tickets (in addition to having been a lifeguard, I've also been in law enforcement).

I discovered that bees were attracted to both the bright color and the fragrance... and there's nothing more humiliating than wearing a badge and a firearm and having some bee try to pollinate you!

Have a great 4th... what's left of it. It's off-and-on rainy in the Mid-Atlantic states, even a couple of tornado watches, but we're hoping to see some fireworks anyway!

That begining freightened me... it started to look like one of those 'On the Lot' short films with Brigitte starring in... Children of the Corn meet Firestarter.

*happy Place -- happy place*

I thought a good name for Paula's new fragrence would have been... 'Opposites Attract'. Wait... how about 'Forever your Girl'? Ummm... Cold Hearted Snake?

I give

Lastly... Nicole Richie's baby will be the first time in history that the fetis weighed more than the mom
