Big Brother 8: Episode 3

Jenuinely Insane

(S08E03)
I think Jen conveniently forgot the letters "ly Insane" from her shirt on the screen capture above. We're barely three episodes into the season and she's already registering off the charts on a scale from 1 to crazy.

She must have thought her psychotic breakdown regarding her ugly photo wasn't enough. She decided to completely outdo herself tonight with the "Nick tried to kiss me, but I wouldn't let him" debacle.

This was cringe inducing television at its finest people. To be caught in a lie is awkward enough. To be caught in a lie while millions of people are watching you on national television? That would seriously make me consider taking a few shots of lemon scented Ammonia.

Not Jen though. Remember, she's a member of "Jensa" and apparently in the alternate reality she resides in, not only is she the smartest and most beautiful inhabitant, but people there also suffer no repercussions for doing stupid things as indicated by her attemempt to just gloss over the issue with Nick. She even had the nerve to ask if he'd still try to kiss her later. I was floored.

The United State of Jenerica. Population: One. Terrible place to visit. Wonderful place for natural disasters.

I'm glad instigator Joe leaked the story to Nick. I'm glad Nick called her out on it. I'm glad Evil Richard confronted her about being a idiot to him during the butter competition. I'm glad Jen has been exposed as a lying, manipulative wench and that people see that she's really not as confident as she leads on.

Most of all, I'm also glad Jen will be around for a little while longer because she makes writing this thing terribly easy. Enough about Jen.

We learned two interesting things about Amber this week. For one, she's a little religious. There's nothing wrong with this of course - I simply noticed that she called upon God on several occasions to assist her as she made her way through the game. Of course, if I was a betting man, I'd wager my life savings on the fact that God probably isn't watching Big Brother 8 since Dr. Will and Janelle aren't on this season of the show, but that's neither here nor there.

Secondly, she also admitted to Nick that she's a nympho. There's nothing particularly wrong with that either, but I thought it was an interesting admission in light of my first observation.

With Nick, we pretty much knew from the get go that he was going to utilize his handsome good looks and sinewy body to snake charm the woman into submission, and it actually seems to be working.

Daniele, Carol, Amber, Jessica, Jen (although she doesn't admit it to anyone), and um, Joe all seem to get a little starry eyed and spaghetti legged when Nick is in close proximity. I'm pretty sure every snake charmer has been bitten by a cobra at some point in their life, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before one of these people sink there fangs into him. Hopefully, he has the anti-venom to nullify the poison that will course through his mangled body. I carried that analogy one sentence too far.

What else happened of note?

Evil Dick told a story about taking his 21-year-old son to strip club in celebration of hitting the legal drinking age, much to Kail's dismay; Dustin and Joe seem to be on speaking terms again; and Carol and Jessica secretly still hold whatever grudge they have from junior high despite playing nice in front of one another's face.

Power of Veto Competition

As usual the winner of the power of veto can take one of the parties up for elimination off of the chopping block or leave the nominations the same.

The contestants for this weeks POV were:

Kail, Amber, Carol, Daniele, Jameka and Nick. Jessica hosted the competition while everyone who didn't participate had to go upstairs and be locked in a room with Jen for what I imagine was an agonizingly long time.

The POV competition ended up being an old fashion game of hide and seek, only the object was to go hide an assigned veto anywhere inside the Big Brother house in the hopes that the other contestants would not find it.

After everyone hid their veto, each contestant was given a minute to rip the house to shreds to try and locate the other player's vetoes. The person whose veto wasn't found would win the POV.

To make a long, uninteresting competition short - Daniele ended up winning POV because she actually put some thought into things and placed her veto under a mountain of slop in the fridge. Kail, Amber, Carol, Jameka, and Nick should all be kicked off for a lack of creativity when it comes to hiding places. Did these people not play hide and seek growing up?

America's Player - First Assignment

America voted and decided that Eric would have to make up a sob story and tell it to Kail. Sunday, I mentioned that I found this first assignment to be a little on the lame side, but at least Eric made it entertaining.

He poured some Visine into his eyes, reddened up his face, and told Kail that watching Daniele eat slop reminded him of a high school girlfriend who was anorexic. I couldn't really make out most of the story, but it seemed to be long-winded and full of details.

Kail seemed to buy it and even said Eric was a sensitive guy who lets things really get to him. I seriously doubt this sequence of events will do anything to keep him in the game any longer which made the whole exercise a little pointless in my eyes, but time will tell if it proved effective.

The decision America gets to vote on tonight (choosing who Eric casts a vote for) actually has some meat to it, and I'm glad we're getting to pick something with some actual substance.

Power of Veto Ceremony

At the POV ceremony, Daniele did what everyone inevitably does the first time around and left the nominations intact. I don't blame her. There's no good reason to poke the hive at this point in the game.

This Thursday, Carol or Amber will be sent home. Leave a comment or vote on who you think needs to get gone.

Hey, I know it is too late as Carol has been ousted, but Amber is too annoying and I hope she gets booted soon. You don't go on a show like that and cry all the time. As for children at home, you know you are leaving them, and I assume you hope you will be gone the whole time so you win! Everyone is there to make a better life for themselves financially so tell Amber to shut up! As for Jen, she definitely makes me giggle and I do get astonished at how she acts, but she is amusing, and while she won't make it to the end I hope she is around for a little while longer. Danielle...well, she is so young, and it shows, but she really does need to eat. I don't know if the producers knew about her weight issue, but she needs to be watched carefully. I actually am concerned about her and her health. Emotional and physical. But, she is too naive to win. I am saving judgement on the others until I see the real them come out.....which slowly creeps out over time. Good Luck to all of them, and hey, maybe our America's Choice guy, Eric, will win! Wouldn't that be a riot! :o)

I think DeadWrong has some issues to deal with this week in therapy.

Is there anything that won't make Amber cry? I mean this girl cries at absolutely everything.

I hate Jen with a passion, which is really tough because she's so bloody hot, but man is she annoying and self-absorbed. It's these reason that I *dont* want her evicted. This year has been pretty lame so far, so the fact that Jen elicits any emotion I want her to stay on the show.

One thing I found weird about tonight's show is how "America's Player" was pretty much absent the entire show until the Veto competition - although I guess all of the good stuff must have happened during his "story" to Kail.

We need somebody to leave - anybody - this will get the game moving along and people will start to hate each other.

I think ambar has to go. she acts to much like a babby with all that cying. I know it might be a little upset if I was put on the block the first time, she could use it to her advance, but there is so much a person can take. Jen on the other hand might be a little cocky, but this could be in favor, if she tones it down a little. I think she might have a change.

"Still I think parents sacrifice a lot more to do BB than single people or those w/o children at home, so I admire them for it."

I actually judge parents who choose to leave their family to go on some sleazy reality show. But that's just me. Then again I watch it religiously, so I guess I shouldn't judge. Ha!

Jen will get her's at a later date just watch & see. I believe that Jen will leave next week. Especially after all the commotion she has caused in the BBH. Carol should leave and Amber needs to stay a little longer, but if Carol stays then the house will be turned upside down and possible change in her favor. I think this years episode will keep you on your toes.

I think Carol should leave since she seems on the evil side. She seems sneaky and I don;t trust her as much as I do Amber. Yes Amber is sensitive but I believe her emotions more so than Carol's.

Carol needs to go so I don't have to hear Jessica's voice whine any more than necessary. Amber is a sweet girl (even if she is a self-proclaimed nympho) who is there to win it for her family, and I agree, Carol doesn't seem like she wants to be there.

Better Yet..
Any chance we could order America's Player to murder both the gay guys, then hang himself..
Then see if Jen has any sisters !
