Some haps at Nick: TV flicks and a Star Camp

nick cannonNickelodeon is a place where things are happening. This post is a place where I will tell you what those things are. Yes.

Last Day of Summer, in which a boy lives his final day of summer over and over again. It premieres on Nick on July 20. The movie stars Jansen Panettiere, who voiced a character in not one, but TWO Holly Hobbie videos. How many of us can say that? How many people besides myself know what the hell Holly Hobbie is?

Two more Nick flicks are slated for the fall: Roxy Hunter and the Mystery of the Moody Ghost and Roxy Hunter and the Secret of the Shaman. These two movies tie into a new series set to air on Nickelodeon this fall, presumably about someone named Roxy Hunter. Roxy Hunter is a series of books by author Tracey West.

On the Web side o' things, Nickelodeon is developing its first ever Web series for TurboNick: Nick Cannon's Star Camp. The series, which kicks off July 22, introduces eight youngsters to the music business. Cannon, along with producer Quincy Jones III, help the kids navigate through the crazy and uncertain music biz. Each episode will be fifteen-minutes long with the final live performance airing on Nickelodeon on August 26.

Right pic: Nick Cannon offers some motivation to one of the kids on Star Camp.

First one sounds like another rip-off of Groundhog Day. You like Daybreak was. Least Daybreak had a more interesting day to live over.
