Stump the King - Betty White

Betty WhiteI got a real stumper from a reader this week.

Stephen Bishop wrote..."In either the late 50s or early 60s there was a show set (I think I was very young!) in France in the 100 Years War, featuring a Robin Hood type character who was the master of the sling as his weapon of choice. What was the name of the show?"

Well, I had to do some digging but I was able to come up with the title of the show. It was called Thierry la Fronde and starred Jean-Claude Drouot in the title role.

I, myself have never seen the show but I'm sure there a few of you who have.

Now, for this week's question...

On The Betty White Show, Betty played an actress. What was the name of the show within the show?

Mrs. Davis, I am trying to adopt or rescue a Boston Terrier. I had one and it died of old age. That was the swwetest and kindest dog that i ever had. As a matter of fact I did see "Thierry la Fronde" back in my beardless youth, though I couldn't have told you the name of the star. In fact as I scrolled down the page and read the question, before even reading your answer, I immediately thought "Oh yeah, Thierry la Fronde."
