Spoiler Anonymous
This is Spoilers Anonymous, a weekly column here at TV Squad where we'll supply you with the dirt on some of the more popular shows on the air. We'll never put spoilers up here on the main page in order to help the reformed stay unspoiled. If you have anything to add to the group, feel free to step up and let yourself be heard, either with our tips form or by emailing us at tvsquad at gmail dot com or call and leave a message at 917-421-9477 (NY) - your anonymity is guaranteed, if you wish to remain as such.

This week we have: Bones, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Friday Night Lights, Heroes, My Name Is Earl, One Tree Hill, Nip/Tuck, Supernatural, The Office, and Ugly Betty. (SPOILERS FOLLOW!)

Bones

  • In the second episode of the upcoming season, scouts find the body of Ed Milner, a 30-year-old man who worked in marketing and hid his fetishes from his wife. The man took part in pony play sexual fantasies. The team's investigation lead them to where those fantasies took place. There, they meet Annie Oakley who took part in those fantasies with Ed. They eventually find out that his wife learned of her husband's activities thanks to an anonymous tip. Angela is hypnotized in order to visualize the man she married in Fiji. All she can see is a wasp. Hodgins looks into dream theories to find the meaning of seeing a wasp. [Source: TV Squad]
Brothers & Sisters
  • Danny Glover has been tapped to play Sally Field's new love interest in 8-10 episodes this season. His character is Senator McCallister's presidential campaign manager, and is described as extremely smart and charming, but also a political shark. [Source: Michael Ausiello]
Desperate Housewives
  • Lynette starts chemo therapy in the second episode of the season. It looks like Carlos may enlist the help of a friend he made in prison in order to "take care" of Edie. [Source: TV Squad]
Friday Night Lights
  • Among the new roles being introduced on Friday Night Lights next season is a dad for Landry. One of the show's big couples calls it quits. Someone dies. Someone commits murder. The Panthers have a new coach. Someone finds Jesus. Matt's Gram gets a live-in nurse. Remember the name Gracie. Tami makes a new friend. There's a gratuitous locker room shower scene within the first two episodes. It ain't over between Tim and Lyla. [Source: Michael Ausiello]
  • Based on the information we've received, here is what we can add to Ausiello's spoilers above: Julie and Saracen call it quits (Julie is now interested in someone nicknamed The Swede). The new coach is named MacGregor and he'll be quite tough on the players. Gracie is the Taylors' new baby girl. Tami new friend is named Glenn Reed and he is filling in for her at the school. Heroes
  • Masi Oka, who plays time-traveling hero Hiro Nakamura on NBC's Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that his character will remain in Japan for a while and will have a parallel story separate from the rest of the show when the second season kicks off in the fall. "Season two is going to begin with two parallel timelines going on," Oka said in an interview at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills, Calif., on July 17. "One starting four months after the explosion and another-mainly Hiro's storyline-starting 400 years in the past. And we'll see how they kind of affect each other." At the end of the hit show's first season, Oka's character found himself transported back in time to 16th-century Japan. According to Oka, Hiro will spend at least eight episodes there before returning to the present. There, he will encounter some of the characters from the stories of his childhood, including the legendary samurai Takezo Kensei, who will be played by David Anders (Sark from ABC's Alias). The show is currently finishing the third episode of the upcoming season. "There's a princess," Oka said. "Princess Iako, played by [Japanese pop star] Eriko Tamura, who's going to be in that world, as well as David Anders, who plays Takezo Kensei. That was Hiro's childhood hero that he's always heard about these stories. But David Anders, last time we checked, he was Caucasian. So there's a mystery there." [Source: Sci Fi Wire]
My Name Is Earl
  • Earl won't be sprung from the slammer anytime soon. "He'll be in prison for a while," says e.p. Greg Garcia. "Fortunately, Earl has a lot of friends in prison." [Source: Michael Ausiello]
One Tree Hill
  • James' new nanny is named Carrie. She seems organized and efficient. Lucas is at the house to work on James' bike. Carrie is rather interested in Lucas and even asks him flat out where he would take her on their first date. "Somewhere my girlfriend wouldn't be," he replies. They decide to talk about an hypothetically first date. [Source: TV Squad]
Nip/Tuck
  • Bradley Cooper will be playing a self-obsessed ladies' man plastic surgeon on the TV show-within-a-show that factors into the new season. Christian and Sean, now transplanted to L.A., consult on the fictional Nip/Tuck-esque series. As previously reported, Oliver Platt has an arc as an executive producer. As for "instantly popular" 2006 guest-star Rosie O'Donnell, she will reprise her role as Dawn Budge for "several" episodes. [Source: TV Guide]
Supernatural
  • Rumors are circulating that Jensen Ackles' Supernatural character could have a kid, as he'll soon be meeting the eight-year-old son of a woman he had a fling with roughly nine years ago. [Source: Watch with Kristin]
The Office
  • John Krasinski confirmed that Rashida Jones would be back for a handful of episodes at the start of the season. [Source: Michael Ausiello]
  • We've seen the last of David Denman, aka Roy, for the time being, since he's been fired and is no longer dating Pam. However, he's not dead and, according to Greg, could return at any time. We will see more of Ryan this season! There will be great stuff between Michael and Ryan, now that Ryan's the boss. But sadly for Kelly, things between her and Ryan are not going well. Jan really is moving into Michael's condo, and when I asked if she'll be wearing stretch pants, Greg Daniels was kind enough to confirm. [Source: Watch with Kristin!]
Ugly Betty
  • Six Feet Under alum Freddy Rodriguez has joined the cast of ABC's comedy-drama series Ugly Betty, playing a new love interest for star America Ferrera. On Betty, Rodriguez will play Gio, a smart, ambitious, aggressive and lovable blue-collar guy who runs the office sandwich cart and prides himself on making each sandwich a work of art. It won't be long before sparks begin to fly between him and Betty (Ferrera). [Source: AOL]

I liked Earl at first, but now I'm getting pretty sick of those vo's with him talking like a hillbilly. They kind of grate on my nerves now.

I like Joy and Crabman a lot more.

I saw Jason Lee on the Ellen show (with no 'stache) and he was a bit odd. Then I read that he is a scientologist. Geez, another one?? I wish that spaceship would come and just take them all away. :-)

matriculated: There is supposed to be a twist about this character that required a Caucasian actor.

"including the legendary samurai Takezo Kensei, who will be played by David Anders (Sark from ABC's Alias)."

OK, I'm all for equal opportunity but they couldn't find an asian actor for this role?

But it's still not correct. Years are like pennies and centuries are like dollar bills. The 17the century was 1601-1700. 1600 was the final year of the 16th century.

By the time this got to TV Squad, it was fourth-hand information. Here's hoping your chronology lesson makes it back up the chain.

@Tim: that's the only way to "keep him busy" because, as a time traveler, only when he's in the "present", meaning the other storyline, he can act in the "now". Being a time traveler time stops being linear for him. From the point he gained the ability, EVERYTHING he does is "parallel" or better _detached_ from the "main storyline" because he chose to live his live, or better interact with time, whenever and whereever he likes.

What I always wonder is what happens if he accidentilly transports himself into the earth, or to the moon, or to wherever you like, because he sometimes can not controll to "when" he goes which also means he can not control to "where" he goes. Especially because the earth travels at 400 meters a second through space (or something like that) it must be hard for Hero to jump to the place where the earth's surface will be the next second while he jumps from Japan to New York ^^;

Just a small note: 1600 to 1699 isn't the 16th century. It's the 17th century, just like we're now in the 21st century not the 20th. And if I remember correctly Hiro was transported to 16xx. I could try to find a picture of the date somewhere online but honestly I am too lazy.

Last season, Hero's journey was pretty separate from the rest of the cast for the first portion of the season. Same thing this season? That seems like an odd choice - but i'll still be waiting on my couch for the new episodes to start!
