Entourage: The Weho Ho

Ari and Lloyd

(S04E06) "Listen, mind if I use your private shitter? I just gotta piss but the one in the hallway stank like a refugee boat." - Walsh

Hmm... not so much. I've been enjoying this season immensely thus far, but something about this episode just didn't work for me. It's not that it was bad, but it just didn't feel right. There was so much going on and none of it really tied together. All the good episodes of Entourage have A and B plots that usually collide at the end. None of that here. What did I like? More Lloyd. What didn't I like? Everything else.

OK, first with Lloyd. I think we got more development from his character in this one episode than we have in the entire series up to this point. That's good though. Lloyd is one of the biggest underused elements on this show. It's about time he got some of his own stories rather than just being Ari's lackey all the time. Speaking of Ari, watching him tweak out without Lloyd was hilarious. Finding out that Lloyd is "The Weho Ho?" Even better.

After that stuff, it went downhill for me. That sub-plot with Turtle and Drama was one of the worst ones yet. While it was nice to see Louis Lombardi back on-screen following his untimely death as Edgar Stiles on 24, he was just another wasted talent here. Playing Cousin Ronnie, the guy is essentially a scam artist and Turtle and Drama played into it. Something about a Sandy Koufax jersey that was auctioned off and it ended up not being worth what Ronnie said because Sandy wasn't dying... his dog was. Even typing that out makes the whole plot sound ridiculous.

What we need is more Drama and Turtle separation. More of Johnny on the Five Towns set or even hanging around with Eric. Switching up the pairings of our four main characters would be great for a change. As far as Turtle goes, he needs more stuff on his own too. More stories like Saigon or that girl he was chasing last season. What happened to her?

Finally, there's Walsh. Up until now I've loved him, but his character pulled a major 180° in this episode. First he took a meeting with Ari (what?!?) and he's actually willing to do the next major studio picture (Lost in the Clouds) with Vince. What happened to Billy's mantra of "f*ck commerce?" It's like his character is being altered to cater to the season's story arc and I don't like that. I'm glad it's created more conflict between Vince and Eric (he won't produce), but it still felt like a step in the wrong direction. Something tells me it's going to take the rest of the season to figure out who's side I'm on.

Regarding the final cut of Medellin, who's opinion do you trust more?

I love everything about this show except the ultra-predictable Turtle/Drama storylines each week. I know they're put in for light comic relief, but I'd much rather see some character development for Drama than watch him chasing a horse around LA, or whatever it is this time.

As for Walsh, I agree that this seems like a bit of a u-turn for him, but they have to do something different with the character to keep him in it, so I'm happy to wait and see where they go with it.

PS: more Dana Gordon please!

Anyone know who Walsh's editor is that put his ex's facial up on cumfiesta.com? Just curious what her name (the one who leaked the Medellin trailer on you-tube) is. I looked at the cf website but they all seem to get facials so...any help here would be appreciated.

Gosh, isn't it great that, after all of the episodes, there are always fresh turns. Well, sorta.......E, way to go. Walsh is a creative genius who acts accordingly. However, E is the sanity in the midst of insanity. I'm glad to see that a long-term friendship and understanding prevails between Vince and E......time will tell. But, my bet, is that E is dead on!

Glad to see that Lloyd is given some air-time as a character. Charming and loyal, Lloyd.

And, how could we continue without Arni....the Hollywood politicially-astute genius!!!!!!!

Sorry to see that Drama is still a putze...but, Turtle is a geniune innocent. Congrats to the continuing achievements of "Entourage!"

I agree that this was not the best episode so far; it was too scattered in its premise. I agree with everyone who said the Turtle/Drama storyline was both incoherent and took up way too much time. I also hope that Walsh is a temporary character. Ari and Lloyd are just too funny and I hope that all win the emmys they are nominated for. Thank you.
