So, back in May I told you about a limited number of Simpsons-style XBoxes being given away at promotional events in anticipation of the upcoming movie. If you weren't lucky enough to snag one of the yellow consoles with Homer's visage at one of these events, you can try bidding on one that recently popped up on eBay. Just bring a lot of cash, 'cause the bidding, as I type this sentence, is at $1,900.

It's a neat little mod, though as myself and some commenters pointed out earlier, it wouldn't be too difficult to modify your own XBox in the same manner. Then again, you could also borrow your favorite novel from the library and copy it word for word rather than buying the book, but it's just not quite the same. Collectors like to have original things, don't ya know.

EBay itself has also gotten into the Simpsons spirit with a special front page link to all the various Simpsons swag, toys and memorabilia available on the auction site. There's some cool stuff to be found, but what I really like is this quaintly homoerotic Tunnel of Love figurine featuring Mr. Burns and Mr. Smithers, found on another site (thanks, AV Club).
