The most cringe-inducing interview you'll see today - VIDEO

merry millerI feel sorry for celebrities who have to sit in a chair and answer inane questions from journalists (like me). They answer the same question 400 times and probably aren't even sure who they're talking to most of the time because it's just one interviewer after another. And when you get someone who doesn't even know what they're doing...

Case in point: this reporter from ABC News Now, who has the born-to-work-on-an-entertainment-show name of Merry Miller. She's interviewing Holly Hunter about her new TNT show Saving Grace, and I have to agree with Best Week Ever when they say that it's like a teenager got into the press junket. You'll rarely see someone as nervous and ill-prepared, and thanks to the web you can watch it over and over and over again! My favorite part is when she tells viewers at the end to go to NBCnews.com. That was like one of those bad pageant contestants when the host allows her to do a fake interview -- just horrible! I have really bad gas after watching this.

The service was HORRIBLE at Bennigans.

Our waitress came by and introduced herself as "Merry", and that she'd be back in a few minutes to take our order..she flat-out disappeared for 10 minutes...

...finally re-appeared, flustered, muttering "abcnews.com, abcnews.com, abcnews.com"...

-- Couldn't help us order, as she "LOVED" everything on the menu, but recommended their famous Chili's Baby Back Ribs...??

When Merry left our bill, she said "I LOVED waiting on you and hope you enjoyed Eatin Good in the Neighborhood here at Applebee's"...

Just Shoot Me.

Maybe the scheduled interviewer got delayed and they yanked the traffic reader to fill in.

Poor thing will have to suffer her stupidity in perpetuity thanks to the internet.

Good lord, has she ever even been on television before? I love when she repeats the word "talk" at the beginning, that is clearly being yelled in her ear by her producer. And the shrieks from the film crew when she says NBC News are CLASSIC.

She just looked terrified when she had to sign on and sign off. Poor thing. She should go back to cosmetology school.

Doesn't matter. 'Saving Grace' is awful. Such publicity can only help this show.

This woman should probably start looking for a job with NakedNews.com - she'd still make the same sort of cringeworthy errors but no one would notice.

I'm pretty sure she says "be sure to check us out on the van" at the end instead of "on the web".

Maybe it's just a tragic case of undiagnosed eye problems...

It's not as bad as I expected from the build-up. She was clearly just reading scripted questions instead of listening to the interview.

If you want to see, check out this year's Spelling Bee champ on CNN. That was painful!

I heard the scream too! I think that was the producer stabbing themselves in the eye at the end of the segment!
