If you're like me, you're probably wondering -- who the heck is Dominic Bowden? According to internet rumors, Dominic Bowden, a reality TV host from New Zealand, is in secret negotiations with a "major US reality TV show" that "will be as big as American Idol."

There is speculation that Bowden is about to take on the Ryan-Seacrest-like hosting duties of the American Idol spin-off -- The Next Great American Band. While Bowden has hosted three seasons of NZ Idol, this could be his big break in America and turn him into a household name.

The Next Great American Band will have its series premiere Friday, October 19, 2007 on FOX. There has not been an official announcement regarding American Band hosting duties as of yet.
