Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - August 7
Despite Big Brother 8 executive producer Allison Grodner's best efforts, this season isn't shaping up to be my favorite one. I start to like one of the houseguests and immediately he or she will do something incredibly stupid or behave in such an outrageous way that I question my own sense of reason. The theme of the house itself is okay ... I like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.I think America's Player should vote out the whole cast and get new hamsters in for the rest of the season. I think this is the first year ever I haven't had a houseguest I'm totally cheering on. Oy!
Nonetheless, I still enjoy being a fly on the wall via the 24/7 live feeds from the house. For the latest Big Brother House Hamster Happenings, read on beyond the jump. Beware -- these are spoilers!
Yesterday, after the POV ceremony, Dustin tried to win Zach over to their side by telling him the majority vote would be for Kail to go home. Unfortunately for Dustin, Zach is in a quasi-alliance with Evel Dick, Daniele, and Jen these days. (Yes, you heard me right!) Zach is a bit more astute at the game than he comes across at a quick glance. He played along fine with Dustin telling him that he hadn't made up his mind yet. Dustin told him he can't trust the Donatos (Dick and Daniele).
Zach, being the loyal once he's committed buddy that he is, reported the conversation to Dick and Daniele asking they not repeat it.
So, what does Evel Dick do? He gets right in Dustin's face yelling at him in the bathroom while repeating the phrase "you can't trust the Donatos" over and over again. People keep going on about Evel Dick's honesty, but that was a purely foolish move which immediately cast aspersions on Zach.
Dustin knows that Zach is the only one he used the phrase with so now they know Zach is working with Dick and Daniele. He's very irked at Dick, but will most likely stay in their fold because now he's on the outs with the other side. And, despite what Dick says, there are indeed two sides now.
I call Dustin, Amber, Jessica, Jameka, and Eric the LNC Remainders while Dick and Daniele are the LNC Rejects. I'm a bit boggled that they can be screaming at each other one minute and discussing family pets the next. Kail is still straddling the fence and will most likely be like Humpty Dumpty. She doesn't fit in on either side.
Jen is proving to be interesting. While she is technically in a truce and supposedly working with Daniele and Evel Dick, she's still doing a lot of moves on her own. She's spread a few lies, she's told some truths which weren't meant to be told. We have to remember that she is the one connected to ChillTown (Mike Boogie Malin and the Evil Dr. Will) and may have a lot more game knowledge than is immediately noticed. I mentioned that, from watching the feeds, she was working with Dick a lot earlier than she went more publicly to the Dark Side.
It still looks like the vote will be for Kail to go home at this time.
In other house tidbits:
- The feeds have been playing the more mellow old show theme music while they were blocked for various reasons on and off during the day. It's much more soothing than the jarring loud new theme. We still have the blue liquid vortex instead of the Chicken Cam, though.
- Evel thinks Eric voted the odd votes to stir up the house.
- Jen questioned Evel about why Dustin was campaigning for Eric. He told her that Dustin wants to divide the house and make himself look better because he'll claim he made all the effort for the group's good.
- Evel Dick said he's going to keep the pressure on Dustin all week.
- Jen and Daniele advised Kail not to campaign for votes until Wednesday because early campaigning didn't work for Joe.
- Kail, Jen , and Daniele decided that Dustin has lied to each of them a lot.
- Daniele told Jen that if Eric were on the block with Dustin, Eric would go home because he's the better player.
- Kail told Daniele, Jen, and Dick that Dustin was her leak for LNC information, thus clearing Eric's name in that particular accusation.
- The Bunny People have to wear their costumes through Thursday night's live show which makes Eric think the HOH Competition will be trivia. The costumes are just a bit bulky.
Oh, gee ... now they're getting really boring in the house! Jameka is braiding Amber's hair and Amber looks like she's been crying. The show should be more interesting tonight than what's going on at the moment. Stay tuned for JJ Hawkins' show post which should be up and running later tonight!
