Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - August 8

Evel Dick - A man with a planHey there, it's Wednesday and the Big Brother 8 live eviction show is tomorrow night. Why, I think it's good day to have waffles for lunch, don't you? We can't have eggs because too many of the houseguests have an adverse reaction to them. I have to talk breakfast food as the houseguests are just starting to stir over on the West Coast. I'm ready for lunch here -- perhaps a bologna sandwich.

So, have things changed in the house? Are alliances all awry? How will the vote go tomorrow night?

I can't tell you what's certain for tomorrow night, but I can let you know what the houseguests are thinking this minute. Beyond a minute and they seem to, er... waffle. For the latest happenings from inside that Big Brother House of Warring Wombats, read on beyond the jump. Beware -- show spoilers ahead!

Although the houseguests are mostly still slumbering in their beds, hopefully without the thoughts of Evel Dick in their heads, a lot went down last night in the house. Of course, it all could change before tomorrow night's vote, but I'm here to tell you the latest. The latest as of this moment, that is.

Now it looks like Eric will be voted out tomorrow night with only Jameka and Jessica voting for Kail to leave.

Yep, you heard me. The vote has flopped once again.

How did that happen? Well, when Dick isn't screaming and intimidating people, he's actually playing a very manipulative game. During the late night hours, he got to Amber. No, not by yelling, but more of a psychological and manipulative manner of game play. He went for her weaknesses and stressed what Eric had said he could use against her later in the game.

While Eric had told Jessica he might be able to use nasty facts about Amber's personal life against her sometime down the road for his own gain, Dick is actually using those statements right now to advance his own cause. Amber doesn't see it, nor will Dustin, but I see it and wish Evel Dick would play the low-key manipulation game more often. When he does it, he's brilliant. When he screams, insults, cusses, and berates folks, he's just obnoxious.

Amber went to her confidant Dustin who himself is Evel Dick's most recent target of derision. What does Dick do? He flips Dustin, too! I don't know for sure if it's because Dick is so smart or because the others are so dumb, but it seems to work.

Fences are mended, all is hunky-dory and peachy-keen with Dustin, Dick, Daniele, and Amber once again. It's decided the vote will be for Eric to leave and next week the target will be Jen or Zach. Oh, my. I can't help but think that this is Evel Dick's grand plan and the others are foolish enough to fall under his spell. I have to give him kudos for excellent strategy if all goes as he plans tomorrow night.

Now, Jameka has already given Eric her word that she would vote for him to stay. With her track record, I can't see her backing down from that vote, nor do the other houseguests. Despite her vote tomorrow, they know that if she gave her word, that's that and they probably won't hold it against her.

Big Brother's Jessica gets ready for another day in the houseThey feel Jessica is a wild card in the vote. No one is sure how close she is to Eric as she tells whomever she's with what they want to hear or just nods her head a lot. Dick feels that Eric wouldn't want to be in the final two with her because everyone likes her and she'd win. Well, Mr. Evel, I think you feel the same way! When it comes down to it, no one wants to be in the final two with either Jameka or Jessica.

I personally think that Jessica might vote for Kail to go, but that's not a done deal. If things don't change between now and tomorrow night, the votes should be Dick, Dustin, Amber, Jen, and Zach for an Eric eviction. Since only four votes are needed to evict him, that's more than enough without Jessica's vote.

Ah, but then they talk to Jessica. Did they spin her into the web? It sure 'nuff looks like they did! She tells them that Eric was driving her crazy and just won't leave her alone. (I wonder if he's flattering her although I cast my vote for him to flatter Evel as a lark.) Jessica told them that Eric's been creeping her out by staring at her as she tries to sleep and more. She's in like Flynn with the new Evict Eric Movement. She tells them she'll do "whatever" and they count that as a done deed.

And, yes folks ... it is indeed a movement, a notch up from a mere plan.

They got to Jameka, too. She all of a sudden realizes that she wanted to backdoor Eric all along! Praise the lord!

I can't believe Dick pulled this off. If it comes to fruition tomorrow night, all of his studying Dr. Will's game strategy may have paid off. He might just be the Ultimate Evel.

In other recent house tidbits:
  • Jen is having real problems with her ear and wants medical attention. It's most likely that some of the goop they had to dump on their heads got into it.
  • Both Jen and Zach are noticeably absent from all of the happy campers. I fear both will realize they still have no friends and are all alone in the house of many.
  • Kail is in on the latest news. What she doesn't know is that the main group consider her pretty much of an expendable nothing, forever a pawn.
  • Although not news from within the house itself, it looks like this week is indeed a double eviction week with a second houseguest leaving on Sunday night.
I'll leave you with a brief video of Evel Dick when he's good ...

If Joker's updates are correct and the producers are influencing Houseguests on who to evict isn't the game fixed and aren't they preventing other players from possibly winning? If they are deciding who will win, what is the fun for us the viewing public?

Yay! I hope it is Eric that goes home, not because i dislike Eric but because I do not want Evel and Danielle to be targets for next weeks (possible) double eviction! IT is likely that unless everyone stays on Evel and Danielle's side they will be put up in the double eviction w/ out a veto to be played (assuming Dick does not win hOh)
Well I am glad to see that Evel and Danielle are making a good team and i hope they can keep it up.

To John:

Actually, it was "in like Flynn" originally - as in Errol Flynn. It seems to have been corrupted in recent years.

To everyone else:

I love the fact that all of you hamsters complain incessantly about CBS and their choice of houseguests. The fact that you read this board, watch feeds, and complain proves that you really love CBS and feel they did a great job with casting.

The goal of a reality show is to be compelling to watch, not to make you all warm and fuzzy inside. Few of the houseguests would ever be houseguests of mine, BUT HOW CAN YOU NOT ENJOY THE DRAMA!

Frankly, cheering against people you hate is often more passionate than cheering for people you like. CBS knows what they are doing, even if you all feel manipulated.

The phrase is "In Like Flint", not "Flynn".

I notified them of the problem. The Submit button doesn't seem to show in IE, but it does with Firefox.

Thank you Jackie -- another intersting recap. I understand that Jessica's not sure what to believe right now but I do hope she sticks with Eric. I wonder who we will see Eric to be in real life once this is over...

If Eric is eliminated and it comes to light that he was America's Player, then Dick will end up screwing himself. It will have been two weeks in a row where he's ended up backdooring the wrong people out of paranoia.

Of course I say this and it looks like everyone is too stupid to turn against Dick anytime soon. They're letting a Dick/Danielle final two happen without much of a fight.

I am so happy to hear the events of last night. Thank you, I was so fed up last night and thought Amber was going to bawl her way , or eat her way through, and that Jameka was using God and that Dustin and Eric would get away with "the little man's (or in Dustin's case) little whatever complex and bitch their way through. But I have renewed faith in humanity since honesty even vulgar honesty can still win out over manipulation. ED and even Daniele are real people with real understanding of how tough life is and that KARMA is a bitch. Daniele is only 20 but she remained true to her boyfriend even though she was obviously attracted to beautiul Nick and who wouldn't be. If that would have been Amber, Jessica, and even Jen, they would be on him for all the world to see. Unless I missed something on the live feed, I respect Daniele and I think the Nick issue is not over for her but she will handle it with class. As a Mom and a grandmother, believe it or not, I understand the relationship with ED and Daniele and for me that is the only good thing about the show this year. They are both smart, honest, and up front and America should reward
that behavior. Amber needs to watch herself when she gets home and re-evaluate her comparison of her dog and her precious daughter-are you kidding me. I love my dog, but if I had to give up a child or a grandchild or my little yorkie whom I love....Really Amber you have burned a few brain cells to say such a ridiculous thing just to try to make ED look bad. Nick needs to be brought back and
Kail needs to be left alone. She has learned alot about herself and her prejudice and she is starting to see that she can't judge a book by its cover. ED switches according to how each person exposes their dishonesty and manipulation but I would trust ED with my food, my money, and my family, long before I would any of the other punks left hanging on for dear life. Anyway, God Bless The Trapped Miners in the area I grew up in, now that is real...Jameka, lay off God, we need him here in Utah. He hopefully is with those miners getting them out of a coal mine alive, instead of caring which png=pong ball you pick out of a bag. PRAY FOR THE MINERS, THE SOLDIERS, OUR LEADERS, THE HOMELESS, HUNGRY, SICK, AND FOR CHILDREN OF MOTHERS WHO VALUE THEIR PETS AS MUCH AS THEIR CHILDREN. Seriously,
Big Brother is a distraction from pain and should be fun to watch people in a safe and creative setting and who are well taken care of and stand to win prizes and money, we all have drama BB get control of the idiots who ruin it for everyone! (I don't mean ED either) HA
