Human Giant returns in January (probably)
We knew it was coming back, we just didn't know when. Well, we still don't know officially, but Paul Scheer, one-third of the sketch comedy trio Human Giant along with Aziz Ansari and Rob Huebel, blogged yesterday that the series would likely return in January 2008. Paul's exact words were: "we are looking towards an air date of Jan 2008," which is not the same as "you will definitely see new episodes in January," but I'm not going to complain. It's coming back, that's all that matters.
If you missed the first season, do yourself a favor and check out some clips on the group's official site. This one is a favorite. Or, I guess you could just watch every sketch from the first season. How's that sound? Pretty good, Adam. Okay, then.
Human Giant should be required viewing for anyone who enjoyed Kids in the Hall, Mr. Show and The State. In fact, watching it reminds me of watching MTV back in the '90s when The State first appeared and I and my high school friends would quote the show to each other nonstop. Human Giant has a charm that's all its own, but its sensibility is much more in line with the aforementioned shows rather than Saturday Night Live or MadTV.
