Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - August 9
Tonight's the big live Big Brother 8 eviction show! We all know that Jen won the Power of Veto, removed herself from the block and Eric was nominated in her place. We know there are Bunny People who could possibly be "late for an important date." We know Eric and Kail are both nominated for eviction. But do we know who's going home? Oh, yes ... we'll know in a few hours. But, if you just can't wait and must know which way it seems the vote will go down, if you must know the skinny on what's really been going on in the house ... this post is for you!
Read on past the jump and beware of show spoilers!
It's the Big Brother 8 House of Waffles once again. When Eric was first nominated, he had the backing of Dustin, Amber, Jameka, and Jessica. He needs four votes to stay in the house, or to be more accurate, four votes for Kail to leave the house. It all sounds like a done deal, right? Those folks are more in an alliance with him than they are with Evel Dick and Daniele, right?
Not so quickly there! Amber told Eric in confidence some personal information. Now, never mind that this was shared with the entire internet audience. A bit later Eric, in a conversation with Jessica, mentioned he had "something on" Amber that he might be able to use against her down the road. Jessica pushed for him to tell her, so he did. She was aghast and told him he really couldn't use the information -- it was much too personal.
So, he didn't. But what he did do was hint that he had some information and Dick picked up on that to use in an effort to sway Amber to his side. It worked. Soon the whole house was up in arms and Eric had to go home NOW! Of course, they didn't tell Eric. Dick and the rest thought it best for him to remain confident that he's staying and let it be a surprise.
But Amber couldn't hold herself back, screaming and yelling at Eric. She yelled that she had to vote for him to stay because she promised him on the life of her daughter. (Why do people do that?) It was then that Eric found out the whole house was against him. He had Amber's vote and Jameka's vote because she had given her word.
After a long Diary Room session, Eric went into action working on his now alienated alliance members. He stressed how manipulative, domineering, sneaky, and nasty Dick is to the others. He denied being the spare votes. He worked his mojo. Jessica and Dustin told him they'd vote to keep him, but then told Dick they were voting to keep Kail.
By the time dawn rolled around, it seemed that the votes would indeed be for Eric to remain in the house. Neither Eric nor Dick (or Daniele) would be told. The four -- Dustin, Amber, Jessica, and Jameka -- happy-danced with joy about their new plan. However, they had happy-danced about their old plan when it was the new plan before. So I don't put much credence in their happy-dances.
Jen and Kail, not a part of either main group although Jen is "working" with Dick voiced, a few of my own thoughts. They talked about Amber and her instability. Now, I can get behind that conversation! I'd prefer to see Amber out of there before anyone else!
JenBot, in her fairly respectable game strategy knowledge, told Kail that she thinks Dustin will flip his vote but not admit it. Since they actually remained silent about the change back to keeping Eric in the house, that's what she meant -- the change in direction. She told Kail that she "just knew it was happening." I have no clue how she'd know unless she's really good at picking up vibes. Oh, JenBot is now Psychic JenBot!
How does it stack up for tonight?
Votes to evict Kail: Dustin, Amber, Jessica, Jameka
Votes to evict Eric: Dick, Zach, possibly Jen (I can see her flipping to vote with the house majority as that's how she's voted each time)
