Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - August 13

Big Brother 8 - Dustin does Kilroy was hereSpoilers! Get your Big Brother 8 spoilers here! Fresh, hot off the press, spoilers! What? There is no printing press here? Uh-oh. I'm going to have to rethink my approach here, huh?

If you watched last night's show, you only saw the food competition and the nominations -- Dick and Daniele. But a lot has happened since then. Not only has the Power of Veto competition been held, but so has the ceremony!

Are the nominations the same? Did the Power of Veto save someone? For the latest news from inside the Big Brother House of Mounting Misery, read on past the jump. These are spoilers, mind you!

Yesterday wasn't a huge news day in the house as the hamsters tend to sleep all day. There was the big news of the Power of Veto in my last entry. It was won by Dick and he planned to use it to save Daniele.

But who would go on the block? You'd naturally think it would be Jen or Zach, the two on the periphery of the LNC Remainders. America told Eric he was to work on getting Dustin on the block. If Dustin goes up as a replacement nominee, that would count.

Eric didn't even have to work all that hard. It wasn't long until Dustin's arrogance had him volunteering to go up against Dick as a pawn, but he didn't want to go up against Daniele. Everything would hinge on whether Dick saved himself or Daniele.

Jessica's actual target of the two (Evel Dick or Daniele) was Daniele. She thinks that Daniele is a stronger player and Dick can't win competitions. Well, other than POV ones, that is! Jessica is still as tight as can be with Eric. Oh, but gee ... Eric caught some mysterious malady and couldn't speak to her from early morning today until after the Veto Ceremony.

Yes, America's Player had to give Jessica the silent treatment to complete his task. He feigned an illness, stayed in bed, and talked to no one. I guess that will count as a task completed. If memory serves, this might satisfy his second group of five tasks. Since he gets $10,000 for every five completed, he's earned $20,000 plus his $750 a week stipend in less than two months.

Since she couldn't talk to Eric because BB deemed he be quarantined, Jessica was left on her own for deciding what to do if Dick removed himself or Daniele from the block. She had a talk with Zach and he promised he would vote according to her bidding, so his vote was secure. She talked to Jen about going on the block against Daniele if it were her staying and Jen wasn't thrilled with the idea.

But when the time came, Evel Dick used the veto to save Daniele. He will remain up for eviction this week. Since both Amber and Dustin had clamored to be a pawn against Dick, Jessica put Dustin on the block in Daniele's place.

Apparently Evel Dick gave a tender and touching speech as he saved Daniele. I only heard the aftermath as the ceremony itself is always blocked to feeds-watchers. Then Dick went around apologizing to Jameka, Amber, and Jessica about his behavior on Saturday. That was the day he was out to make them all hate him so they would vote him out instead of Daniele as he knew they'd both be on the block.

Has Dustin committed a Marcellas? It's possible. I think that the America's Player vote could very well be for Dustin to leave although the aired show always makes Evel look pretty bad.

I love dick, he makes the show. Everything he says about the other is true and truth hurts.
I do not like Jameka at all. she is a mean and horrible person who is ignorant and immature. If dick leave, the rating will go down and the show will suck...

It should be revealed to al houseguests that Amber has made many, many qanti -semetic comments--she should be challenged in front of the whole household. She is an abomination with her beliefs. And I am an Italian-American Catholic.

Please please please get rid of Dustin...he is so boring and predictable and we all knnow the best story line is
Dick and Danielle...it is great also to see Jen and Danielle mend. The two beautiful girls can get along and go to the end and get rid of the people who made it this far by
using God, their kids, their dogs, and beer pong to show what great character they have. Jessica is Eric's little bitch and so I'm sure Dustin will stay so keep the info coming cause no one can stand to actually watch and remember Jameka and Amber God is in Iraq or helping save the six coal miners in Utah, not in the BB house.
Jackie, do something, start a petition to get rid of Dustin.
Evil, Danielle, Jen, Zack...final four...PLEASE FOR AMERICA! THANK YOU

I think Evil Dick's behavior is obnoxious and certainly not appropriate social confrontation with all of his sexual and personal comments. However, it is a strategy (even if it reflects his personality, which it probably does, it is a strategy in this instance in this game!)

I would find it hard to sit back and ignore his behavior, but I would like to think that if I knew it was a game, I would handle it differently than Jameka has (can she really be a Christian?) Amber is obviously socially immature and has so many personal issues that she is emotionally unable to handle it! Dustin has become so extremely arrogant and self-righteous that he is hard to watch!

I have to believe Big Brother intentionally gathered this younger and immature crowd. (Kail could have played better, but I do think she tried too hard too soon and was never able to recover. I think she does have more maturity than the younger set, but I think she was a little too sure of herself in the beginning and wasn't thinking! When she expected her alliance to follow her lead in the second week against Dick - I knew she was in trouble! She didn't know them well enough to know if she truly had their allegiance and she picked too strong a target - not to mention she tries to sway that target's daughter! Even a daughter who is angry at her father is going to question a stranger talking against him!)

Personally, if I thought I could handle Dick's abusive behavior, I would rather vote out Dustin. But I guess being verbally abused in that setting can be hard to take.

I think in the end, we just might see Jen and Danielle as the final two. That will make for a difficult decision for some of the houseguests, not to mention the audience.

I like both Dick and Dustin however if given my choice I guess I would chose Dustin to leave. Dustin appeared to be so nice in the beginning however he has changed. I like Dick because he is totally honest and although he doesn't accept people lying to him it is part of the game. Hope creepy Eric has to vote out Dustin. Dick makes the show interesting and I don't know if he left if I would continue to watch. Season 6 Great, Season 7 Good, so far 8 not so good.

Maybe I have missed something here. Maybe I haven't been reading the right blogs but when we (america) are telling Eric what to do, and to whom, how does he become a "Weasel"? I have yet to see or read where he actually 'lied' outside of his tasks that we have chosen for him to do. If you payed attention, America's player voted for Kail (per our votes) to be evicted from the house not Nick. If Eric was smarter when that banner plane flew over the house, he should have told ED that yes he lied he voted for Kail to leave not Nick and that would probaly have been the end of it. What I don't understand, is that Amber's name was on the banner also, and yet she scathed by with out a scratch on her.

I can see reasons to get rid of Dick and/or Dustin. I can also see why some of the houseguests would like to keep each player.

Dick is rude and crude and makes the houseguests uncomfortable. It is okay to be honest and confront people face to face but Dick uses terrible language and makes too many sexual references during his confrontations. Dick would be a great player if he cleaned up his language and kept his mind out of the gutter. Many might feel they could beat him if he was sitting next to them in the final two.

Dustin is nice to your face and then stabs you in the back. He is becoming so arrogant it is hard to listen to him. Dustin waits until people are out of the room before he throws insults at them. He does stand up to Dick and some of the weaker players feel he is their protector. Some may be afraid Dustin would win if they were sitting next to him.

Either choice is fine by me. I will continue to watch and enjoy the show.
