Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - August 14

by Jackie Schnoop, posted Aug 14th 2007 8:45PM
Big Brother 8's Evel DickHave there been more confrontations inside the Big Brother 8 house? Have there been fisticuffs? Who's on the block? Who won the Power of Veto?

Who's on first? What's on second? What is Evel Dick doing with all those cups? Is it an upside-down street scam?

For the answers to those questions and more, read on beyond the jump for the latest news from inside that Big Brother House of So You Think You Can Be a Jerk on National Television.

Beware -- there will be show spoilers ahead!

Well, the answer to what Evel Dick is doing is that he's playing beer pong. That may not be so interesting in and of itself, but he's playing with Eric. Yes, you heard me. And, no ... they're not fighting.

There was a huge gala event at the house last night and the feeds-watchers weren't invited. The houseguests, even those on slop for the week, had food and beer to imbibe. It sounds like it might have been celebration for hitting the halfway point of the season. We couldn't watch because they played music for the houseguests. The feeds are always blocked for music or singing due to royalties (not paid) issues. It's considered broadcasting even if it's just through the internet to those who subscribe to the feeds.

Unlike previous seasons, I don't see alcohol creating problems with this group. In the past, BB has had to cut out alcohol due to the houseguests overdoing it. Apparently this group overdoes it sober and tends to get along better with a beer or two in them.

So, as it stands Evel Dick and Dustin are on the block. Dustin was the replacement for Daniele who was saved by Dick with his Power of Veto. It's a bit iffy how America will direct Eric's vote. Strictly show-watchers have been exposed to more evils by Evel, but feeds-watchers see a lot of issues with Dustin. I, for one, would love to see the reaction if Dustin -- who thinks he's a pawn and volunteered to be on the block with Dick -- goes home. But I probably have a touch of evil myself, eh?

It would be fun!

In strategy discussions, Zach told Dick he'd like to see Dustin's plan backfire. Now, remember, Zach told Jessica he would vote whatever way she wants. They also talked about Jen knowing Mike Boogie, but it turns out that Zach knows "Lonnie" -- a person with a higher share of Boogie's businesses than Boogie. He says that he only met him once, but Jen talks like she knows him well and went to the Bahamas with him. Zach and Dick both think Jen is an alien. (Hey, she could be an android!)

In other briefs:

  • Eric streaked through the backyard.
  • Jessica was upset because she didn't see it. But she did see him in the shower yesterday.
  • Dustin is smug about being on the block. He's sure he's staying.
  • Dick apologized to everyone and has just been mellow with all, except for snide comments when talking with Zach.
It's not the most exciting of times in the house today, but that can always change overnight ... or in five minutes.

Why should Dick stay just because he tells the truth? I don't get the whole obsession with honesty this season. It's a game and a cuthroat one at that. You shouldn't be rewarded for being honest. This game has nothing to do with honesty. Frankly, I think Dick is just being annoying. If I were in the house, I would want him out right away. Who wants to live with someone who won't keep a secret and feels obligated to keep everything out in the open. That is not what this show is about. People have to lie. You don't get money for being honest or nice otherwise Will and Boogie would have left week one.

I would love it if Jessica would take Zachs advice (for your showtime watchers) It really would make more sense for her to make a different alliance don't ya think? Man I want Dustin to go home and watch his face, and to see Amber just tremble! You can't lie that would be great TV!!!!!

You can hate Dick all you want ... but remember ... he was trying to grate on everyone's nerves to save his daughter. But before that ... he just told the truth. You may not like him ... but he told the truth and you know where he stands. Unlike all the others who are hypocrites. Dick deserves to stay, because he is true to his self and plays the game well. Dustin is a whiny baby who deserves to have his smug self shown to the door.

It is time for Dustin to go! He was selfish when taking the money and trip in the power of veto contest when he had it won. He is a worm and can't be trusted. Dick may be crass but he is one heck of a good player. People like him deserve to win much more so than someone like Dustin.

Zach is right now talking Jessica into getting rid of Dick. He's a fool. The rest of the LNC want him out after Danielle. He's not a very bright guy.

It would be "FLIPPIN' FANTASTIC" if Dustin were to go sequester this week! I hate Dustin more and more every day and want his smug ass to be removed permanently from my television screen! He has been strategically shallow, (taking money and trips, rather than solidifying the POV when he was HOH, volunteering to be on the block, etc.), and I just can't take any more of his smug, self-indulgent arrogance.
