Gwyneth Paltrow, TV star?

The normal icy stigma against appearing on TV for film stars has been thawing as of late. Damages has Glenn Close, Saving Grace has Holly Hunter and now PBS has Gwyneth Paltrow.Paltrow, the star of Shakespeare in Love and the upcoming Iron Man movie, will be traveling to Europe this fall for a new cooking show exploring the usually overlooked world of Spanish cuisine.
Mario Batali, Iron Chef and host of Molto Mario, was originally scheduled to host the show solo and invited friend Paltrow to co-host on a whim. The leading lady, who spent childhood summers in Spain, surprisingly agreed -- with the understanding that she won't eat any pork or beef products. No chorizo for her, I guess.
The untitled 26-episode series is sponsored by the Spanish government and will also air on Telemundo.
