Survivor's Boston Rob punches a heckler - VIDEO

Rob and AmberSometimes, even the auditions for reality shows can get controversial.

Survivor / Amazing Race contestant Rob Mariano ("Boston Rob") has been holding auditions for a new reality show he's producing called Tontine, and things got a little physical at a recent audtion in San Diego. Seems there was some sort of heckler at the audition who started saying things to Boston Rob. They got in each other's face, and a crew member tries to break up the two, but then all of a sudden Rob punches the guy, and the people filming it "oooo" and "ahhhh." Video after the jump (and check out the comments on YouTube, including a comment from the guy who stepped in the middle of the two and another guy who was auditioning at the time).

You never see this happen at the auditions for American Idol.

I was there at the audition. The instigator was being totally obnoxious, obviously. He really was asking for it. I agree with whoever asked where was security at the time? Rob shouldn't have been put into that position in the 1st place.

I love this! Reality TV is so lame these days that it's great to see Boston Rob isn't totally controlled by the camera and is willing to take matters into his own hands. Hope Tontine is as unscripted as this action. Would make for an exciting show.

It seems staged to me. If it's real I think Bostin Rob looks like a punk. Why didn't Rob punch the guy when he was doused water? He only waited to throw a punch when a bigger guy was standing between him and the heckler. If someone throws water on me the fight is on right at that moment. That is an act of provocation.

I have never heard of Boston Rob until I saw this article on Net. It looks like he's promoting some "C" class reality show. Why would anyone want to heckle that clown?

Prepare yourselves contestants, this man David Silver AKA: SILVER KID is a trained machine and ready to take on his maker anytime, anyplace. He is a trained athlete, who has competed at the Olympic Training Center, so he is not to be tooled with.
