Stump the King - King of Queens

by Paul Goebel, posted Aug 20th 2007 8:24AM

Patton OswaltI've been inundated with letters lately but this one from "Kathy" seemed very urgent.

She asks..."Can you tell me the name of the bar from King of Queens?"

Well, Kathy, the short answer is yes, yes I can.

The long answer, however is only slightly longer. At the risk of name-dropping, I decided that the fastest way to get the answer to this question would be to call my friend Patton Oswalt. I always like to point out that even though Patton has become a full fledged movie star (Ratatouille, Balls of Fury) he is never too busy to be a very cool guy. His true talent, however, is telling jokes and if you ever get a chance to see him live, take it.

Patton was kind enough to call and let me know that the name of the bar was Cooper's.

The main reason, I mention that I spoke with Patton about this is because, I often get letters from people who want me to "verify my sources" because they disagree with my answers. In this case, if you think I'm wrong, take it up with Spence.

Now for this week's question...

Who originally played Arthur in the unaired pilot for King of Queens?

Jack Carter is the correct answer. Nice job, Dave!
