Big Brother 8 houseguests to appear on Power of Ten

The fact that last week's Power of Veto contest in the Big Brother 8 house was suspiciously similar to The Power of Ten wasn't just a coincidence. Houseguests Amber Siyavus (also listed as Amber Tomcavage elsewhere) and Daniele Donato left the Big Brother house Sunday night for the first time in nine weeks, heading to New York City to appear on Drew Carey's new hit game show.

Their show appearance will air next Tuesday, August 28 at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS affiliates, leading into the Big Brother episode for that evening. While on the show, they will be competing against each other in a two-person game, allowing one to move on to play for for a grand prize of ten million dollars. The prize they're playing for in the Big Brother house is a paltry half-million.

Right now, show viewers know more about the trip than do their fellow houseguests. Upon returning to the house yesterday, both Amber and Daniele were only allowed to say they went to New York City. They haven't been allowed to tell their housemates they were on the show, nor discuss any monies won.

I love this site and will now use it for other shows because it keeps the crazies (OHMYGAWD...what happened really) from setting in on these wild reality shows.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on all the doings at BB. Too bad the show is so dumb this season. If it weren't for Jackie I would not even be watching. But I love reading your blogs Jackie. And you too, JJ. Keep up the good work.

How did CBS ensure that no one in the Po10 audience spilled the beans about America's Player? I mean, they can ask the audience to please be quiet, but if I were there I would have yelled something for sure, even if it risked my being ejected from the taping.

It will be interesting what the reaction will be if one of them won some money.

By the looks of Amber and Daniele I'd guess Daniele won something ...

I suppose it's possible that they'll let the houseguests watch Amber and Danielle as the show airs on Tuesday (to get the reactions on the Thursday live show) or even give them an early viewing so that the reactions can be included on the Tuesday show, which of course airs immediately following "Power of 10."

Thanks, Sky! The nomination ceremony takes place tomorrow night. Since Julie Chen was big on keeping it a secret tonight on the live show, I don't think it will be revealed. But I could be wrong!

Hi Jackie, Do you know if BB is going to reveal to the remaining houseguests where the trip was and the outcome of the gameshow before the next nominations? Also, thanks for the great work you do on here..I really cannot start my day without reading it..you do a fantastic job.
