Quinn joins FOX's Canterbury's Law

Aidan Quinn joins the cast of Canterbury's LawAidan Quinn, who was last seen in the anti-7th Heaven drama Book of Daniel, has joined the cast of FOX's Canterbury's Law, which stars Juliana Margulies. He will have a recurring role as Matt Furey, husband to Marguiles' character. Elizabeth Canterbury.

Now, if you have seen a preview of the show on the FOX website you're probably saying to yourself 'Wait, doesn't she have a husband already?'. Well, yes. It's Matthew Canterbury, played by Linus Roache. Only Linus, the show's producers and FOX broadcasting know the reasons for the re-casting. So goes television.

I don't know what Canterbury's husband previously did, but Quinn's character will be a former Assistant U.S. Attorney who decided to teach law after his and Elizabeth's young son went missing several years ago. Along the way he may have conversations with Jesus. Oh, sorry, wrong show. Canterbury's Law will premiere mid-season.

I think they have way way too many mid season shows on Fox.

It's likely they had to recast the role since Linus Roache is now filling the Jack McCoy/Sam Waterston ADA spot on the L&O mothership.
