Big Brother 8: PoV Competition #9
(S08E27) We were in the presence of royalty tonight ladies and gentlemen.
The baddest, most dominant person to ever play the game of Big Brother, made an appearance on tonight's episode and the house guests (with the exception of Eric who made some crude comments about her weight) were in absolute awe - and rightfully so.
Janelle Pierzina is an absolute legend in Big Brother lore. A quick Wikipedia search revealed that Janelle has won 17 competitions during her two stints on the show.
You read that correctly - 17 competitions! That feat is comprised of 7 PoVs, 6 HoHs, and 4 America's Choice votes.
Sure this total was accomplished over the course of two seasons. but when comparing these stats to someone like Eric (one win), who I consider to be a pretty brilliant player, the accomplishment is pretty phenomenal.
Of course, Janelle never actually won Big Brother, but we can look past that minor detail. The girl is a badass, and I think most fans of the show would have a problem disputing that comment.
Before we get into the PoV competition a few things occurred of note:
Eric had a heart to heart with Jameka where revealed that he feels like every move he's made in the game has been wrong. He also flat out admitted that winning the game has become a much lesser priority at this point than the relationship he's developed with Jessica. He's terrified that he's going to end up losing the game and losing the girl but he's mostly terrified of losing the girl. 
I actually feel bad for the little nipple ringed sideshow. Being on this show has been his dream for the last seven years, and now it's turning into a Wes Craven movie right before his eyes. If he ends up losing the game, which I think is very likely, I hope he still ends up getting the girl. Jessica and Eric just kind of seem to fit together. Do you guys agree?
Next, Jessica told a story about how she was at girl scout camp when she was younger and told her counselors that she either wanted to be the President of he United States or a waitress when she got older. Everyone around the table got a big kick out of this and Dick took the statement one step further by mocking, "Yeah, when I grow up I either want to be the President of the United States...or a stripper."
Daniele took great offense to both comments because she's been a waitress for the last four years. She was particularly pissed with her dad because she took his comment as though he were equating waitresses to strippers.
I think Daniele needs to add a few more centimeters to the old epidermis. I thought Dick's comment were harmless and that she blew the situation way out of proportion.
Plus, isn't Daniele a waitress at Hooters? That's about the closest thing I can think of to stripper waitress. Perhaps that's why she took such great offense to his comment.
Anyhow, Daniele blowing up at her father elicited the following responses from him:
- I can't stand the way she talks to me and treats me. Does she think that saying "what" is the same as "WHHAAATTT!"
- [Mimicking Daniele] "I don't want to talk to you right now." Good, please don't talk for the rest of the week.
- I can't imagine how she talks to her boyfriend.
- [To Big Brother] Why didn't you guys put me in with one of my ex-wives it would have been the same effing thing.
Veto Competition - The Janellevision
Janelle seductively revealed herself and filled the group in on the rules of the veto competition.
The contestants would have to spin around in a pink chair for 60 seconds, make their way across the courtyard to a television, and unscramble two house guest's faces that were twirled together into an image.
The contestant who correctly guessed the most number of swirled images would win PoV and ultimately help decide the fate of Jessica and Jameka.
Outside of a bit of odd flirting between Janelle and Dick (who was aching for some action after two months with Amber and Jen), the game was pretty cut and dry.
The scores were as follows:
Jameka - 2
Eric - 3
Dick - 4
Jessica - 4
Zach - 6
Daniele - 7
Daniele won yet another PoV competition. If she continues at this rate, and if she ever makes it back for an All-star season, Daniele is a prime candidate to swipe the title of Big Brother badass from her voluptuous predecessor.
America's Player - Who should Eric mimic?
America did the right thing and chose Dick. In order for Eric to accomplish the task he was going to have to mimic Dick on three separate occasions. I found this entire sequence to be absolutely hysterical with the highlight arriving when Eric mimicked Dick eating cereal at the bar.
Dick was a good sport about the whole thing, and even considered Eric's imitation a form of flattery. I wonder how Dick's going to feel when he discovers the truth.
Veto Ceremony
I can't say I was surprised by this at all. Daniele, looking a bit like an urban Pocahontas in a blue bandanna and furry boots , ended up not using the PoV this week. I think she made the right decision and I'm hoping that Eric is able to sway the group into voting Jameka out of the game.
Of course, Thursday is a double eviction so only God knows how this thing is going to play out! See you then.
