Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - Sept. 7

by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 7th 2007 7:21AM
Daniele is depressed. Poor baby! So, did you watch that whirlwind Big Brother 8 show last night? Did you get dizzy? That was some action-packed hour of reality television! Both Eric and Jessica were sent packing within the hour. Well, actually Jameka packed Eric's things for him in the wee hours after the show, but he was out the door.

While the show ended with the Power of Veto competition, guess what?

You've got it. The second Head of House competition followed the live show last night. While the feeds blocked it, we know the results. Don't you want to know who's currently the Head of House? Read on for severe show spoilers!

After the feeds returned at about midnight Eastern time, Zach had won the second Head of House competition. Apparently Daniele was a very close second and she's inconsolable. Her father couldn't compete as he was the last short-reigning Head of House.

No matter what Dick said to her, everything "sucks." Daniele is being petulant and even refusing to put on her microphone or go to the Diary Room when called. So we're talking a penalty nomination, right? Nope.

As for Zach's plans for nominations, he's already talked to Jameka. He told her that he's going to put Daniele and Dick on the block, she is safe. He wants her to promise to play her hardest for the Power of Veto so that the nominations will remain the same.

Zach wants Daniele to go home despite the fact that she's a friend of his in the house. He realizes that she wouldn't give him the time of day outside the house. He also thinks she's the strongest competition to win. While he thinks he would lose against Jameka in the final two, he wants her there.

The nominations will be made later today, but Zach has given his word. So be it.

OK SLEEPY HEADS...IT APPEARS DANIELLE HAS WON THE POV ACCORDING TO LATE NIGHT SHOWTIME...SO YEH, THE DONATOS ARE CLEARING ALOT OF ISSUES UP BEFORE JAMEKA GOES SO SHE CAN RIP ON ERIC AND SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT....BASICALLY CAMPAIGN FOR THEM IN THE FINAL TWO. THEY ONLY HAVE TO WIN HOH AND THEY ARE IN THE MONEY...HEY, I AM TOO OLD TO STAY UP ALL NIGHT AND WATCH THIS FOR ALL OF YOU......EVERYONE MUST BE WATCHING THE LIVE FEEDS AND ALREADY KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. ANYWAY, I AM HAPPY FOR THEM.

I am watching last night's showtime, and I see that someone in production is reading our message boards, because they just brought them some arts and crafts, just like one of you suggested the other day. I am happy to know that they do care about our suggestions to stop the boredom! So....since someone is reading, tell me why the last HOH's are so athletic..are you trying to help Zach win because if you are having a weight=lifting event..that gives him an unfair advantage. Play the game, the head game, and the ones who deserve to win and who know the inside and out of the BB shows, will represent your show better. Seriously, weight lifting with two girls and a 44 year old smoker..too obvious. Anyway, thursday night show was great and now arts and crafts..you guys are on a role. Stay fair, and keep up the good work staying in touch with AMERICA!

I am kind of impressed with how Zach has played. I mean, sure, it's good TV when people flip out and act crazy and fight... it's always interesting when people enter into an alliance and then find themselves in a position where they have to make decisions about honoring those ties or not. It's conflict. Every story needs one, right? But Zach has played a totally different game. We see this every season... (and we still watch!) where there's an honest player with integrity and there's a floater or two and there's someone who is highly combustible and there are those who are "strategic." It's all strategy, though. I mean, how hard must it be to "float" in that house and pull it off? I think Zach's game play has been good and won't be surprised to see him in the Final 2.

Regarding Jen and the whole Jury house thing... I'm disappointed and wondering what the story is there. I wish CBS would just come clean and say what's up.

The reason, I think, that we are not privy to the goings on in the sequester house is because of bigoted rantings of Amber. During the live feeds she was bashing Jewish people as you can see on You Tube.
I bet that was why they didn't interview her after she was voted out. She's really creepy.

Cogsmom - Here is your answer. Zach does get to play for POV. All 4 get to play. If his scenario goes as planned, Jameka will cast the one vote to out either Dick or Danielle.
The one person who is not nominated and who is not HOH after the power of veto competition, is the one who gets the vote. If Zach nominates D and D as we expect, Zach is hoping that he or Jameka will win the POV, then nominations will stay the same and Jameka will be the one to vote. If D or D wins the POV and removes themself from the block, they will vote out Jameka.

In the final four, all play for POV and it's the POV winner with the power. If the Donatos are on the block, one wins -- one can be saved, Jameka goes up, the saved Donato votes her out. If Jameka wins POV, she can't use it because she can't go on the block. If Zach wins it, the noms stay the same and Jameka is the sole voter.
