Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - Sept. 8
It's getting down to the wire. The Big Brother 8 house has the final four players, to go down to the final three on Tuesday evening. We have a handful of houseguests left and only a handful of shows left, too. But I have hours ahead of me. After all, I'm a live feeds hound. I'm not proud.Right now I know the new Head of House, played out in a competition after the last televised show. I know that person's nominations. I know the Power of Veto winner. Heck, I know who's going home Tuesday night.
I'll sell you the information.
Er, okay. For extreme show spoilers for both the Sunday and Tuesday night shows, read on past the jump!
Last night I told you that everything this week hinges on the Power of Veto winner. Zach is the Head of House, but the Power of Veto winner holds all the power over the sole vote. Zach put Daniele and Evel Dick on the block, perhaps not the best strategic move since the Donato Duo is a very strong force in the house. Actually, the nominations didn't even matter this week. It's all about the Power of Veto.
A better strategic move for Zach would have been to put up a Donato (any Donato) and Jameka. Then, if he (Zach) or Jameka won POV, a Donato would go home. But, by putting up both Donatos, Zach has alienated them, burnt his bridges with them so to speak. And, if a Donato were to win POV, Jameka goes home and he's got a couple of angry people to live with for a week.
So, what happens?
Daniele Donato won the Power of Veto. Oh, Zach, what have you done?
The POV ceremony probably won't happen until Monday, but like the Head of House, it really doesn't matter. It makes no difference if Daniele were to save herself or save her father. Either way, Jameka is the only one they can vote out as Zach is the current HOH. I personally think it would be a nice gesture -- and cost her nothing in the game but good will -- if Daniele saved her father. Somehow I don't see that happening even though she'd be safe.
Of course, Daniele could put a real spin on the game if she saved herself and then, with Jameka and her father on the block, she voted him out! But I don't think there's any possibility of it going down that way.
Jameka has accepted her fate and, after a war of words, even Dick and Zach have made tentative peace. They're sitting around discussing the behind the scenes according to various alliances strategies and comparing notes. Jameka started all of that by wanting to understand what happened at certain points of the game.
Zach is very worried about going up against the strongest duo in the house in the upcoming three-part HOH comp. The winner takes his or her choice to the final two. If a Donato wins, both will win in the final two. Lone wolf Zach better get his game on!
