TV Squad Daily with Brigitte - VIDEO

by Brigitte Dale, posted Sep 20th 2007 8:02PM
Hey, Brigitte here with TV Squad Daily. I'll be covering the TV stories I find interesting each day, Monday through Friday, in this video blog.

Today: on TV Squad Daily:
  • Dan Rather is feistier than I expected. He's suing CBS and Viacom for 70 million dollars.
  • Who knew Klingon jokes were such hot property? Stephen Colbert is accused of stealing one from Cenk Uygur.
The video's embedded below, or you can subscribe to this podcast via our feed. Plus, you can also download the file directly.

Ima have to vote in favor of Brigitte's recognition that investigative reporters are celebrities, too. Go Dan!

And Ima vote for Brigitte's doing more of the Nebraska Rap thing with a little c-walk thrown in. Not everyone can c-walk from a chair, you know? We just love people who don't hate their jobs.

Wait, I did some more research and feel that Brigitte is best compared to the Sesame Street® character Grungetta. She is Oscar the Grouch's girlfriend. Perfect! How cynically perfect!

Ugh. Please. Reaching for content from your "blogosphericals" ? Does this mean anything I type can be used against me? On the air, so to speak?
Patrick- She doesn't look like Elmo. She looks more like that one character, Mr Snuffalupogus. Yeah. Same eye movement...
Klingons? Colbert? I'd say that Colbert already got whacked by Klingons...I mean, what is up with his defective-looking ear?
Look! I contributed to the amassing fanbase of...eleven posters!

Whoever made that "why did the chicken cross the road" joke should be paying attention right about now .....

I can't believe it! The first time I ever posted a comment here and Brigitte put it in the spotlight -- with Patrick, who in my mind is a TV Squad Daily icon!! I was already a fan, but now I'm buying the t-shirt.

And I feel bad because I stole the whole Barry/Jiminy Cricket thing from the radio. Now I want to steal from Dave and say that he DOES look like Barbara Walters! Maybe Big Bird is THEIR love-child?

p.s. I didn't intend to encourage Patrick, but really -- we all make it a point to read his comments, don't we?

You stole the idea of the idea of the idea of the idea of the idea of a bad overuse Klingon joke, can I sue you for 65 million dollars?

And because Patrick is a little creepy I'll make a joke, no one steal it....

Or instead of the 65 million, just send me your underwear!

Yes Patrick you freak me out that much!

Hey Brigitte and fellow "commenters"..Isnt it a waste of talent and beauty to see Brigitte fathfully deliver us irrelevent news from TV land about how the entertainment industry let us down with ugly, shallow, overly rich, fat, dimwitts we so look up to......Oprah...for one. Brigitte should be making the news not faking the news....I dont know what they are paying her but maybe she would enjoy jounalism of a differnt caliber? I would very willing to help with this. Also Brigitte I am "disinclined to acquest to your request" about talking like a pirate yesterday...real pirates dont follow the rules they are more like "guidelines". Although ya do be havin' a fine booty thar missy....What little we've seen of er. and like most of us I watch the show for "you" not the "news". Have a nice day (-;

...as far as suing for stealing jokes goes... THAT'S a joke. In fact, NBC News Anchor Tom Brokaw once came onto David Letterman's show, interrupting Dave's opening monologue, grabbed a couple of cue cards and told Dave, "You can't tell these jokes. These jokes are the artistic property of NBC!" Then he walked off stage.

It was far more tongue in cheek than, say, Andy Kaufman, who always pressed the envelope and left his audience asking, "Is this a joke?"

Patrick, Patrick, Patrick...

So many toilet humor jokes... maybe you shouldn't drive around in a brown truck so often! Tell UPS that you're quitting!

Patrick is definitely a Trekker... he likes to boldly go where no one has gone before!
