wow! I'm blown away by the massive craniums here.....very well formed retort! I lived on an avocado farm/grove..all the avocados I could eat and still they are better on a bacon cheeseburger AKA the California burger. part of my job/life is helping people get out of their fancy little made up existence and try living like a real human being that includes eating stuff they for no reason other than fear and ignorance would not normally eat.....quite liberating actually!

Well, that's what I said...some children should be Shawn and not heard.

A few years ago I was in this arch little macrobiotic kitchen in Aspen--the kind of place that catered only to "the locals." I ordered an avocado and sprout sandwich. When it arrived, I commented to the proprietor that for $9.50, it ought to have more than a sliver of avocado. She came back with the cruelest, nastiest retort she could think of: "You must be a MEAT eater!"

Wow, i've never seen someone get so sensitive because of a vegetarian's eating habits. Kinda makes you think about how eating meat might turn you into a bitter angry argumentative d-bag. Meanwhile, back to my steak tar tar.

instead of just trying to be clever and failing with your anti-omnivorous views why dont you say something intelligent to counter my comments. when people have nothing intelligent to say they usually resort to name calling especially when you are to shy to put your real name behind your comments. and if you had a IQ higher than 10 you would know that Sean is an Irish name pronounced Shawn. oh I forgot weird words are hard ....hot wind=negative energy...have a nice day!

Jim, actually, many people during the days of Columbus knew that the world was round also. It is mostly popular misconception that people thought that the world was flat. The vast majority knew it was round or, like Sherri, didn't think about it.

"Chuck" and those guys from "Big Bang Theory" are certainly nerds...then of course there's "Beauty and the Geek"...I wouldn't say the guy on "Reaper" is a nerd as much as your typical "slacker." The guys in those movies mentioned in the article are definitely nerds. Hiro from "Heroes," the main character from "Aliens in America"...wow, I guess they do have a point.

I watched the Alicia Silverstone ad. By a lot of people's standards I guess it was kind of racy for a TV ad. Patrick is probably slobbering over a list of female members of the PETA as we speak...

Actually, the ancients before the days of Columbus knew that the earth was round; they were able to observe the earth's shadow upon the moon during the lunar ecclipse.

Apparently Sherri has never seen the most famous photograph in history, a shot of the Earth taken from space. If she had, she would know that the Earth is obviously round.
