X-Files movie starts filming in December

by Bob Sassone, posted Sep 26th 2007 3:41PM

The X-FilesThe truth is still out there.

David Duchovny, during an interview for the DVD release of The TV Set, reveals that the script for the long-awaited (seriously, it's been ten years!) X-Files movie sequel is indeed done and it looks like they're going to start filming in December.

Duchovny had no further details on plot, though he has hinted in past interviews that this will be more of a stand alone movie and not part of the mythology arc from the show and first movie (aw, come on, I want to know what's been going on with that whole thing the past several years). Duchovny does ask one thing of people: don't spoil the damn movie by leaking info about it. Thank you.

To have another X~Files movie would be so wonderful. I think it would make a lot of money too, because of all of us x file crazed fans :)

Personally, I want to see what happens with the conspiracy thing they developed throughout the series...and of course, some good Mulder/Scully kissing action! It seemed like they sort of ended it without telling us what happened. I thought that was the whole point behind X-Files 2--to tell us how the conspiracy ended.

Please, please, please have an actual plot. Continuity would be nice, but everybody knows that's not going to happen...

I'm assuming you are joking Bash. Darth Vader telling Luke he is his father, that's big. Most people don't even remember The X-File movie.

The bee-sting in the movie still is one of the biggest moments in movie history. Every time I see it I yell at the screen because this was the lamest excuse on earth not to have them kiss.

Stupid monkey...

*fist pump* Woo!!

I'm a big X-Files fan, so this is just awesome for me. I sort of watched the show as a kid, never really had a full idea of what was going on, but I rediscovered it last year on the Sci-Fi channel and fell in love all over again.

Can't wait to hear more about this movie. Hope it can open next summer, or at least sometime soon. Ish.
