Donald Trump taking on daytime TV

I have written often about Donald Trump at www.BizPlusBlog.com and I have mixed feelings about him. Although I agree with you that this particular format and demographic doesn't seem to be a good fit, he seems to have the midas touch.

Furthermore, people pay millions for the type of exposure in attempting to build a brand and he gets paid that instead. His multi-media exposure is a win for his producers because of the attention, like your post, that comes with him. I think Trump is crazy. Crazy like a fox!

With all of the Trumpsters moola, you would think he would get a decent stylist to do something about the worst comb-over in history, don't you think? His egregious comments about Rosie O'Donnell make me sick.
None of the hot babes he marries would look twice at him if he didn't have big bucks. He is a big blow-hard that should not have a TV show; but this is America and he's got the bucks and the connections. I won't be tuning in.
I would rather see Rosie O'Donnell back on the tube on her own show, not like the anal-retentive, made up bitches on the vaginal view; but a show like a Late Night with David Letterman show; where she would interview guests (not all celebs-I am so sick of celebs-who cares what they wear, screw or chew) but real people and interesting authors and people who are making a diference in this screwed society. I actually enjoyed the Apprentice for a season or two but I have to say my least favorite part was always the Donald... if you ask me he needs to keep his appearances long enough to keep his persona involved, and long enough to make a few laughable statements, but then have a show with a good enough concept that he can not be a central participant. Not that I'll watch either way.

With such an over proliferation of judge shows, any alternate programming will be a pleasant relief.

By the way, could you print the various "judge" audience estimates?

He's not a billionaire. But he is a brilliant marketer. He has everyone convinced that he is one of the wealthiest people around, even if he has to threaten to sue newspapers that point out his actual wealth doesn't even put him in the top 500.

A tv show failure doesn't necessarily mean you lose money.

It is also probably just turning into a hobby for him.

I would argue that making your name a brand and being a billionaire probably makes you a good businessman.
