Who's going to cover the story about what the hell happened to Maria Shriver? For the last few years she's looked more like Maria Shrivelled.

Actually, if you look at the stories from 2003 they all say that she is taking an "unpaid leave of absence" or a "Sabbatical". When you get to the level of national news anchor I'm pretty sure you can take off how ever much time you want and still have your job (at least until you specify that you've quit)

Well I must admit I did not understand why Anna Nicole Smith's death was such big news for weeks and weeks.
She was a D-list celebrity, best known for marrying a real old rich guy who died shortly afterwards. The non-stop coverage of Anna Nicole was a joke.

I didn't know you could quit a job you don't actually have. In that case, I'd like to formally announce my resignation from the security guard job I held 15 years ago while in college. That'll show 'em.
