The Daily Show: November 1, 2007 - VIDEO

Jerry Seinfeld"The Strife Aquatic": I'm so glad Jon called out the fact that the "liberal dictionary" was just a children's Bible. I kept thinking, "The liberal dictionary has an awful lot of pictures, Jon. Quit perpetuating liberal stereotypes! We read good." Anyway, torture is no good. Usually. Kind of depends one your definition for "torture", apparently. Also, I just realized that I may have been using "waterboarding" instead of "bodyboarding" for most of my childhood. Seeing as how I've lived in beachy Florida for most of my life, "bodyboarding" has come up quite a bit. Oops.

Conscience-ologist Rob Riggle talked about his personal experience in the military. Peeling potatoes! Running through tires! I believe that is what people call "hardcore".

"Hearts & Minds Update": Aasif Mandvi stopped by to talk about the current state of the country, especially when it comes to the heart and sometimes the mind. This was all right, but I was waiting for some sort of super-spectacular report to hold me over until the strike (read on) is over. I guess my expectations are often a little too high.

The night's guest was Jerry Seinfeld. Oh. My. Word. I am so sick of seeing this guy. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Despite constantly stumbling upon the non-stop Seinfeld reruns on five different channels over the past few years, I've been cool with the man. But now that he has Bee Movie or whatever to promote, I am sick and tired of hearing him. I think America is on the verge of a Seinfeld overload. Give it a rest already. Sheesh.

Well. As Jon mentioned, writers' strike means Daily Show go bye-bye. Live the last eight years over again with TheDailyShow.com until things come around. If you're really desperate, watch each episode and then read my corresponding write-up. Man, this is really upsetting. I have tickets for The Colbert Report on the 26th. When am I going to get another chance to get banned from Comedy Central for groping Stephen Colbert? Thanks for ruining my life, Guild.
