Rosie might do a web talk show instead

by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 12th 2007 2:39PM

RosieI just realized that Rosie O'Donnell has become one of those celebs that you know by one name, like Madonna or Twiggy or Superman. Now you can just say "Rosie" and TV fans know who you're talking about.*

There's been a lot of talk lately about what Rosie is going to do next. Will she go do a talk show on MSNBC after Countdown with Keith Olbermann? (Answer: no.). Now Rosie herself, on her blog, says that she's seriously thinking about doing a talk show on her web site. It makes sense, since she has more money than God and can do anything she wants, turn down anything she wants, and wouldn't have to put up with the hassle of working for someone else.

But the question is, would you watch a talk show on the web hosted by Rosie? Answer in the poll below.

* Unless you're older and remember the paper towel lady played by Nancy Walker.

Would you watch a Rosie talk show online?
Yes, I think it's a great idea!46 (31.1%)
Eh, I might tune in once in a great while.38 (25.7%)
Hell no.64 (43.2%)

oh yeah, I'm sure rosie could get a deal on any network... I'm sure THATs why she going to do a video blog talk show from her living room... it can't be because people are fed up with her fascist brand of liberalism.

From having a prime time talk show, last week to a webcast this week. You'd think she would learn to keep her big fat mouth shut.

Why would she want to do this when she could get a show on pretty much any network--except perhaps FOX?

And if she did do a web talk show, how could she monetize it and make anywhere near the amount of money she could make on TV or cable?
