Gee I'll be glad when this strike is over, and the writers can get back to the important work of recycling other people's story lines and dialogue.

At least there are plenty of reality shows to fill the empty hours that news reporters used to use on occasion, to keep viewers informed of, say, treason at the highest levels of government.

Stargazer – When I was little, I mean really little (way before E.T. came out), some of my most cherished moments with my Dad were spent escaping from our tiny apartment by visiting extra terrestrial cultures courtesy of our black and white TV. Yes! Beam me back to a time when TV shows weren’t full of recycled ideas and I’ll think about getting a nice colour flat screen!

Did you know that the first on screen interracial (black and white) kiss happened on Star Trek? That was cutting edge, barrier breaking, fresh writing! In one of the last original episodes, Kirk lost his memory and ended up knocking up an “Indian” princess named “Miramanee”. My first lover’s hippie parents liked the name so much that it made it to her birth certificate!

Perhaps your boy, Ryan Seacrest, could get some pointers if he watched Captain Kirk in action…

Seriously though, looking back, I think that watching all those Star Trek episodes when I was really little contributed to PASSING OUT in the theatre during “E.T.” at age 13. I was so primed to believe the cornfield scene could be real… Passing out wasn’t fun, but recycling some of Kirk’s moves helped me go where no man had gone before with Miramanee!

The Empire sounds terrible but I'm sure some people will love it. Game shows are ridiculous now, like that Singing Bee one-so stupid.

Hmm, I was walking through Times Square and the streets were less crowded than usual because of the lack of Broadway show-goers due to the strike...
No, not the WGA strike, the Broadway stage hands' strike. Another alternative to the rapidly approaching TV-less doldrums down the drain. Oh well, tickets are extremely expensive anyway.

If you haven't been to Times Square for New Year's Eve atleast once, in your lifetime, you are missing an amazing experience. Then poof...all done and find a cab..we are off to bar hop! Without Ryan Seacrest...cuz he has no date.
