My name is Secret. I am the youngest of seven and Live at my house with my parents and 2 of my brothers. For the past five years (ever since we have had this house pretty much) the floors have been easily damaged and we've had to replace some of them. Right now the floors in the kitchen and my own bed room are started to loosen up and in a years time could possibly cave in. My father workes 3rd shift and works over time just to be able to cover our bills. He doesn't simply have the time and money to fiz it himself like he did the first time. My mother had 2 surgeries done in the past 6 month and hasn't been able to find a job in the small town we live in. I beg you to consider coming here to fix our home because were in a bad situation and its been hard. Dear extreme make over, I am a 15 year old from a small town called Hamilton Montana I live in a wonderful house, but friend on the other hand dose not! I would give anything to see their family have a house as great as mine! They live a block away from me in an average sized home. They house dose not look to bad on the out side but on the inside it's another story! Right as you walk in you their is a stair case blocking the entrence, not only blocking the entrence but the stairs are very steep making it hard for the mom of 3 and another on the way the floor is not finished and there are nails poking up from almost all the doors. The youngest so far is gabe he just turned 2 and steps on those on a regular bases the second youngest is a boy name Jared he is a very soft sprited kid who loves to help people out even though he needs more help than the average kid, he loves science and paint balling. Then there is marina who goes by mo. She is 14 and my best friend! She tries to help her parents financially but it's just to difficult when your only 14 we do everything together! She loves dog sled racing and actually trained one of the dogs that ran in the 2012 ididirod. She's amazing! There a wonderful loving giving family of 6. But only 3 bedrooms. Hi, my name is Carol. My parents live in a small community called Farris, Okla. They pastor a small church in Lane, Okla. My dad is 66 yrs old and is a 100% dissabled Vet, and lives on a fixed income. My mother is 61 yrs old and has had knee problems for about 15 yrs now. My parents rent a small trailer in Farris, and seem to be happy and content with that. I would love to see my parents get a nice home built that they can call their own, and have plenty of space to put all my dads breathing equipment, without having to trip over stuff. And though I know thats what Extreme Home Makeover is all about, that is not why I'm writing to you. I'm writing because I just left my parents home, to head 2 hours away to my home in Aubrey, Tx. and after spending the day with them, and talking to my dad, I'm realizing that my mother will be completely unmobile in her legs in less than a yr if we don't get her the care she needs for her knees. We've gone to the VA, who gives both my parents amazing care, and talked to them about doing surgery on my mother. They say they can't do the knee surgery on her, because they would be taking away from the veterans, which I completely understand. A few months ago, much against my mothers will she signed up for dissability, and will start recieving $240 a month, which we are so grateful for. We checked on getting her on Medicaid, but they said they couldn't do anything till my mother is 65. I am so disturbed by the fact that my mother will be unmobile if she doesn't get something done, but unfortunately I'm not financially able to get the care for her that she needs. My husband and I pastor a small church in Aubrey, Tx. and raise two boys, and I reget the fact that I can't just tell her to go get the surgery or care she needs and I'll pay for it, but the fact is I dont have the funds. Please understand I have never and will never again ask assistance, I just kept this on my mind all the way home, and thought to myself...They may not do this kind of thing, but if I don't ask, I'll never forgive myself. My name is Vicki, my email is vs32357@yahoo.com I take care of a little boy that is 3 years old he is one of triplets but was born 2 months before the other 2.He was on a vent for most of his life,so far right now he is off the vent, he has a trach, chronic lung disease,was diagnosed with failure to thrive,also has pancreatic enzyme insufficiency. He lives in Tn but had to travel to Childrens hosp in Cin Ohio because his body was shutting down and they came up with a feeding that we can give him through a G Tube that so far is working great. Of course the family has to pay for all this because WIC will not cover baby food for his age who cares that this is what he has to have for survival. Anyway he has a lot of equipment in his room, oxygen,trach supplies suction machines and supplies there is no place for him to play in here and he has round the clock nursing.Their yard floods frequently when it rains and there is mold under the house This child has went into respiratory arrest 10 times the last time lasted 10 minutes in which the respitory therapist wanted to call the code but the mother refused.When we make his feedings we have to put zenpap in it which we are told to wear a mask and gloves due to poss lung damage if inhaled but at times his siblings are running through the house which there is no door to the kitchen. This is a family with 3 children living in 1000 Sq foot home with all this medical equipment. They are a very humble family and don't need anything gigantic but a largrr home with room for all Trey's equipment and a place to store and make his feedings would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
