Bakula signs for guest stint on Boston Legal

Scott BakulaSo is it yet another Star Trek alumnus coming on-screen, or a reunion of former Murphy Brown costars Candace Bergen and her on-screen amore Scott Bakula, as TV Guide says. Looks like it's both, as Bakula has signed on to join Bergen and William Shatner for an upcoming episode of Boston Legal. In it he will play one of Shirley Schmidt's (Bergen) exes who runs into her at a bar. No word on if his will be a multi-episode arc or a one-time appearance.

Bakula has shown himself to have a bit of comedic chops recently on The New Adventures of Old Christine, and with BL being a dramedy, he might do very well there. Either way, it is good to see Bakula back on the small screen. Quantum Leap remains one of my all-time favorite shows and I'm still mad they haven't found a way to bring it back (despite periodic rumors that they may), while Knight Rider gets a revival. It'd be great if they can get Bakula's character and Denny Crane (Shatner) together in a scene and have them salute one another or slip some other Trek teaser for the audience in the know.

Does anyone remember Scott Bakula on that show about the San Francisco Hotel - I think it was about the Fairmont but the name of the show was something else. Wasn't that Scott Bakula? Or are you all too young to have known the show? What was the name of it??

Does anyone remember that thing that was playing on the tv screen in that state? I think something was a clue to figure out why Scott Bakula was coming from the other place.

Good Characters, decent acting and humor are all we need on Boston Legal. Adding extras like Scott just keep it a GREAT show

i LOOOOOVE Scott Bakula. I have never watched Boston Legal or The Practice for that matter, but I will watch when he's on. He was hot on Quantum Leap 20 years ago and he's still hot now!!!! I would watch him read a sears catalog for pete's sake. Why can't they find something for him to do again? And who remembers he was Annie Potts' ex on Designing Women? I've been watching Scott forever!! Hope he gets his own show again soon or Boston Legal makes him a regular!

SORRY TO SAY-THAT THE ONE TIME FUNNY & ENTERTAINING SHOW IS NOW A POLITICAL, SMART A SHOW THAT IS NO LONGER WORTH WATCHING...I AM DISGUSTED WITH THEIR BIASED AND DISRESPECTFUL AND ANTI AMERICAN BANTER....NOT AT ALL FUNNY...WILL NOT WATCH IT ANY MORE..I AM SURE NO ONE REALLY CARES AS LONG AS THE LEFT FRINGE CONTINUES TO RIP THIS COUNTRY APART FROM WITHIN.
