Sidekick of Dog the Bounty Hunter found nekkid in his truck

by Richard Keller, posted Jan 6th 2008 1:07PM

Spill a juice, get naked in your truck. This is Tim Chapman's excuseAnd the good luck for Duane "Dog" Chapman and his acquaintances continues. Back in November of 2007 his A&E show Dog the Bounty Hunter was halted after some pretty racist comments he made to his son were publicized. Now, it looks like one of his sidekicks is in hot water for something else that came out in public.

Last Friday, Tim Chapman (no relation to Duane Chapman) turned himself into Honolulu authorities after a shopping center security guard found the reality star naked in his truck allegedly performing a lewd act. Once discovered, the guard asked Chapman to put on his clothes and get out of the truck. Instead, Chapman put on his clothes, started the truck and drove away, nearly hitting the security guard in the process. Police are investigating whether or not to charge Tim for his actions.

The 42-year-old Chapman is refuting this charge, stating that he was only changing his pants after spilling orange juice on them. His attorney, Brook Hart, is going one further, saying he was doing nothing wrong changing his pants in the truck since he Chapman believed he had sufficient privacy. Uh-huh. I don't know about you fine folks out there, but I normally wait till I get to my destination to change clothes if I spill something on them. And, I wouldn't really consider the well-lit parking lot of a shopping center a place of sufficient privacy to change clothes. Something seems a bit off here.

UPDATE: Looks like Tim was released on $11,000 bail not too long after he turned himself in.

Since when does masturbating make you a pervert?
Come on now.....don't even try & say you've never done it.......& probably in public too.
Its not perverted & its not lewd-its natural-you got an itch-you gotta scratch it!
I'm sure Tim was hoping he wouldn't be recognised & get in the papers for-if indeed he was-masturbating in his truck, but unfortunately he did anyway.
Leave him alone, he's a good guy going through a tough time.
sheeeeesh!!!

I think it is none of anyone's real business except those for whom the charges are made. I have changed clothes in more public places than the back of my car, and performed "lewd acts" in the backseat, also. It shouldn't be such a big deal. Also, as for the television show being canceled, I still am boycotting A & E and won't let anyone in my home turn the chanel on. When they bring back Dog, maybe I will watch the chanel again for something else. In the meantime, there are alot of shows out there that I never knew I was missing before!

Hey BJ no offense but if you read the story closer youd understand that someone saw him performing a lewd act in the backseat of his truck and then went in and reported it to security. So security checked it out and Tim was still naked in the backseat of his truck? How long does it take to change your pants especially when you know you gotta do it quick. Also what decent person is living out of the back of his truck? None I know of especially a quasi celeb. Then when the security guard told him to put his clothes back on and come out Tim started the truck, jumped the curb in front of him since the security truck was in back of him and almost hit the guard while escaping. If you had nothing to hide what you do is get out of the truck and explain yourself, you dont run from the scene. Now he has a lawyer speaking for him? Innocent people dont do all of the above. Tim is a lowlife and a despicable pervert obviously. It is what it is.

Hey Morons, when you were changing clothes did you also not obey a security person and almost run them over making your escape? Open your eyes here. Ive never mistaken someone changing thier clothes with touching thier hoo hoo. Tim Chapman ran from the scene and then turned himself in later when his identity became known. This all adds up to guilt. Dont be so stupid.

okay, I will be the first to place in print for all the web to see...

I have changed my clothing not only in a busy parking lot, but while driving down the freeway. So where is the problem? The way I see it is this, there are two people there. The security guard and Tim. perhaps the security guard wanted his fifteen minutes of fame, perhaps Tim is a perv. Like I said, there are only two that know for sure, well make that three if ya know what I mean!!

I completely agree wit you, i mean what is the reason that we are supposed to know about a PRIVATE conversation over the phone between dog and his son? I mean just b/c he said one bad word, there is no reason to say hes a scum or whatever when he has been so successful before. I loved his show and cant wait for it to start again, and i'll finish dog's book in the meantime

Lets get real here folks. The security guy says Tim was performing a lewd act, not just changing his pants. If Tim wasnt doing anything wrong why did he start the car and pull away when the guard asked him to get out of the truck. I like the bounty hunter show also but it doesnt add up to spilled oj now does it?

I believe him. If you had read more of this story -you would have read that when the police to his house-they were told that he no longer lived there-that he and his "wife" were seperated and he was living out of his SUV--so exactly where was he supposed to go to change out of wet clothes-if he had no where to go?
Leave these people alone.

I disagree with everyone who has anything negative to say about these guys. I truly believe they are good decent guys who have gotten some bad raps. Are all these experts on Tim Chapman sure of all of their facts and the surrounding circumstances? I doubt it. Stop kicking that family when their down. They've done an awful lot of good for a lot of people. Why be so quick to believe the worst? I say keep on plugging away guys and ignore all the negativity.vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
