Possible spoilers for Battlestar Galactica season four

by Brad Trechak, posted Jan 7th 2008 11:02AM
Battlestar GalacticaRon Moore has offered a few new spoilers with regards to season 4 of Battlestar Galactica. Much of it can be determined from a two-page spread in Entertainment Weekly (the one with Matthew Fox on the cover). Or you can see the two-page spread directly from here.

I know that in today's Internet-laden society, it's tough for anything entertainment-related to remain secret, but it sure says something when the creator of the show offers goodies about the show's final season.

Spoilers after the jump...

So apparently we now know who the last Cylon isn't. Based on the EW photo and Ron Moore's statements (like the fact that hint #10 in the photo is a blank space and is supposed to represent the last Cylon), the last Cylon is not Baltar, Lee, Starbuck, Roslin, Adama or Helo.

I didn't think that Baltar was a Cylon. They let that storyline go on a little too long to make it a possibility. I always figured that the last Cylon was Boxey (despite only having a cameo in the new series' pilot). Or maybe it's that little mechanical dog Muffit from the original 1978 series. The possibilities are endless.

According to Scifi.com, Battlestar Galactica returns in March 2008.

How about Tom Zarek!

Wouldn't tie in great with the show, the original Apollo, and the fact he has been an opposition to the colonies.

It has to be Zarek

It always seems the Cylons (the hidden 5) are always causing some change in the colonies. Tyrol knew about the eye of Jupiter, Anders was there to help Starbuck and keep her safe, Tigh was there to Protect Adama and help everyone escape from New Caprica, Tory is always helping Roslin move everyone toward Earth. Now look at Zarek--he forced elections, he talks always about freedom, He doesn't believe in the lords of Kobol just their symbolisms, He had an opportunity on Kobol to help kill Adama and Roslin and he backed out. He gave permission to kill the traitors on the new caprica to try and svae face for Roslin, and according to the Ron Moore the 5th isn't a main character - Zareks perfect.
Because the final five seem to always be aiding the humans, and its the ultimate spin make Richard Hatch who was original opposed to this series a Cylon.

Who ever it is its all good fun till they find earth and find out thats where it all began and Kobol was the 2nd earth and the colonies were the 3rd.

Whatever. I'm so pissed at Sci Fi Channel in general, and all other networks that put unreasonably long breaks right in the middle of a season, that I'm waiting until BSG is completely done with and on DVD before I look at it. I'm sick and tired of being jerked around.

You do realize that you will end up waiting probably no less than 2 years for it all to be done and on DVD right?

On that note, and it just occured to me, if the 5th Cylon were still alive (in the fleet) wouldn't they have heard the Bob Dylan siren song and joined the other four? I hope it's not just a case of he/she couldn't get to the Galactica where Tyrol/Anders/Tigh/Tori were - that would be cheap (i.e. Zarek was stuck on his ship with no available transport).

That would rule out any of the rest of the live people in the fleet, leaving only the dead. Billy, Cain, any of the lost fighter jocks and military like Kat and Crashdown, plus there's the priestess Elosha. And, of course, *shudder*, Ellen Tigh.

I'm thinking the best candidate of the live people would be Doc Cottle for the shock value, but of the dead ones I think Billy would be perfect.

I thought William Shatner would be playing the last Cylon.

Keith - How about this: Kendra Shaw - Maybe what contributed to her habit was that she was hearing Hendrix on the wireless...
