Alright all you voyeurs, Big Brother: After Dark is coming back

Julie ChenI guess enough of you loved watching Big Brother contestants sleeping every night because Showtime has firmed up plans to bring back Big Brother: After Dark.

This companion series first aired this past summer during Big Brother 8 to surprisingly decent ratings; not that I think Showtime had much in the way of compelling programming on at those hours to compare it to. Being live and uncensored, fans can go there hoping for the same type of "naughty" and "nudie" behavior that seems to have permeated foreign editions of BB, but never quite so much here in the states. Maybe, since it'll be colder when they start, the contestants will need to snuggle up for warmth, and get bigger ... ratings for Showtime.

The new season airs three hours a night, every night on Showtime2, starting at midnight Eastern, beginning February 12th, the same night the first ever "in-season" edition of BB begins its run on sister station CBS. You can curl up next to your TV with your blankie and pretend you're sleeping next to your favorite houseguest for three hours. (Yes I know many of them will be cavorting around and doing stuff but it's more fun to pretend it's three hours of "The Sleep Channel.")

The BB: Uplate show in Australia has been cancelled this year after last season they scrapped live crosses and showed edited highlights or on delay because the wowsers had a whinge - the adult show was totally cancelled last season, but coming back this season after last year was by a significant margin the lowest rating season ever.

The only reason I like this is that if there's any sex or nudity, I'll be able to see it on the Internet.

yeah its not going to be a ratings blockbuster but as someone who likes to watch tv as they fall asleep this program is better than anything CVS stocks
