Another studio reaches deal with the WGA
In breaking news, movie and television studio Lionsgate has struck a deal with the WGA. In an official statement from the company, the deal was called an "interim agreement."With Lionsgate reaching a deal with the writers, it wouldn't be surprising if more studios made agreements with them so as to compete. This could lead to a more rapid end to the strike, which would make me much happier.
Shows that are made by Lionsgate Television include Weeds, Wildfire and The Dresden Files. I recently discovered The Dresden Files and am looking forward to season two (although I like the books more).
So everyone can look forward to some of the scripted shows returning to television. I implore everyone to watch them and triple their ratings so it can be proven to the AMPTP that writers actually matter.
