Stump the King - Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors - VIDEO

by Paul Goebel, posted Feb 4th 2008 9:43AM

Saw BossThe question I got this week almost stumped me...

James Thomas writes...
"There was a cartoon in the 80's where all the cars were made of vines. do you remember the name of it?"

Well, I was pretty sure of the answer but just to be positive, I did some research and dug up this clip from the opening of Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.

I honestly don't remember much about this show other than I thought that it sucked when I was a kid. However after listening to the theme song, I'd be willing to give it another try.

Now for this week's question...

Which cartoon character named Jase had the power of invisibility?

Way to go, Jon. You got the correct answer.

I'm sure this show sucked beyond belief, but I recall liking it as a kid too. Don't remember anything about it other than I watched it and liked it.

This show was crazy awesome, well as a kid everything was awesome but I can almost remember complete episodes even to this day.
That sad truth freaks me out a bit.

I remember when this came out and I thought it was a cheap ripoff of The Transformers meets The Thundercats.

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was one of my favorite shows when I was too young to know how bad it was. The really weird thing about it is that the head writer on the show was J. Michael Straczynski who would later bring us Babylon 5.

I loved his show when I was a kid! I never saw it on the air, but the local grocery store's video rental section had a couple episodes on VHS, and I made my dad rent it for me constantly. Those bad guys also inspired more than on childhood nightmare.

Jase was Space Ghost's sidekick, along with Jan and their monkey Blip.
