Comic insults Fox News while on Fox News - VIDEO

Fox and Friends WeekendI have no idea what made comedian Lee Camp insult FOX News the way he did over the weekend, because the video after the jump only has the end of the segment. Maybe he'll go on CNN or MSNBC to explain himself.

Camp was part of a discussion on Fox and Friends Weekend. He was the liberal comedian going up against a conservative comedian, talking politics. At the end of the segment, he asked new host Clayton Morris if he could take a moment to say something, and Morris said sure, and that's when Camp hit Fox News, wondering if the channel was just a "parade of propaganda."

On a side note, it's really great to see Morris again. He was one of the hosts on the syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz (not seen in my part of the country anymore, damn it), then went to a local station in Philadelphia. Looks like he's one of the new permanent hosts of the weekend edition of Fox and Friends, along with Ainsley Earhardt.

Ainsley's an airhead ... And her southern belle schtick is just plain sickening and beyond lame ...


Fox has lost a LOT of very loyal viewers because they screwed with the weekend morning show ... as well as the weekday morning show ...

I don't watch the show or the channel so I can only judge things from the clip posted. While Lee Camp may have been brought on to be the "liberal comedian" to go up against a "conservative comedian," I don't think his rant was rant on the channel's bias. It seemed like he had more of a problem with being on the show at all and segments like his when there is real news and events that should be discussed and covered on a channel that claims to be a news channel and not an entertainment channel. The segment was a joke and the guy had a problem with the programming so he voiced his problem(all while gaining publicity of course) and advised people to get a life. The part of the clip I thought was funny was the horrible segue(or lack of) to Captain Kirk by Clayton Morris "because it's Saturday morning, we're having some fun." I thought that proved Camp's point...if he had one in there.

.. you can get all the news on fox news... next we have a reporter surrounded by scantally clad women talking about Captain Kirk. In the new(?) book written by Bones (?) who died like 10 years ago.

Malren has a point that most of the other networks aren't much better, but FOX is still king of the dung heap and many self-respecting journalists would agree. Sensationalism, superficiality and fear-mongering are key, with insight, fact, and meaningful analysis playing supporting roles.

Sometimes this happens to me when I'm in the middle of watching Bill O'Reilly spew some shit about how 9/11 widows are terrorists or something like that, and I'll stop for a second and think: I'm on this planet for 80, 90 years maximum. Why the hell am I spending time watching an asshole like Bill O'Reilly? There's more important things to worry about.

Murdoch's belief system is making huge profits in the media. Right now the money is in conservative media. He had owned New York Magazine and the Village Voice at one time and I don't recall either of those ever leaning to the right.

Seeing as how the steam is running out on the conservative angle, Murdoch has already started to shift toward donations to Hillary Clinton, has started efforts to make Newscorp a greener company by setting goals to cut emissions.

Don't be fooled. He is a good businessman and his programming will reflect what brings in better revenue.

Fox news is the most hilarious forms of entertainment on TV! I can't even watch without cracking up every time!

Seriously... I am surprised there are so many supporters on this site. Sure there are others who are bad, but Fox is the absolute worst. It is like beating a dead horse or "hip" to state this, but as long as Fox continues their BS than I don't have any problems with them being knocked and ridiculed.

Just like every other hipster fashion political statement, this "Fox is the only evil network" nonsense too shall pass as the "cool kids" grow up and realize that all TV news is equally as shit, and no one is doing it well, correctly or in any way fair.

Too true Malren. Unfortunately the print media isn't much better lately. The NY Post has always been a rag and now it appears that at least in the last 10 years or so, the New York Times isn't much better, what with the whole plagiarism scandal a few years ago, political hit pieces and now an article about McCain that one would expect from the National Enquirer.

Hell, if someone wants real news, they should listen to NPR or if they want a liberal, but fair slant read the Washington Post, or a conservative, but fair slant, read the Wall Street Journal.

I don't get why Fox News gets all this drama. I enjoy Brit Hume's program, while I can't tolerate that guy that comes on after him. I guess that's the 'balanced' angle they strive to achieve.
