"Indecision 2008": Finally, some Tuesday coverage. Unsurprisingly, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama fought all the way through, with Clinton pulling ahead just enough to claim major victories. John McCain has already pretty much locked up the Republican nomination and Mike Huckabee, um, was Mike Huckabee. I'm usually not very fond of the gag jokes, but the giant hands worked well, if only for that "Oh, Mickey!" bit.Sick of not having floating pie charts and touchy screens, the Daily Show team pulled out the big guns. The new election center was manned by Aasif Mandvi, Jason Jones, John Oliver, Rob Riggle, and Samantha Bee. I'm really enjoying this team-oriented stuff that this cast has been doing lately. The election center stuff wasn't as funny as it could have been, though. I mean, there are so many more ridiculous gadgets and toys they could have used. The best part was either Riggle calling Oliver the Queen Mary or Jon climbing up the election center like a monkey. Wait! No! The "Jon's embarrassing film roles" montage. That was the best. Oh, The Faculty, how you amuse me so.
The night's guest was Martin Fletcher, NBC News Correspondent and author of Breaking News: A Stunning and Memorable Account of Reporting from Some of the Most Dangerous Places in the World. The interview covered some of Fletcher's incredibly dangerous news coverage. Fletcher was surprisingly funny, though.
Moment of Zen: Hmm... Brit Hume and Fox News catnip. Sounds dangerous.
