Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice, would have to go a long way to be compared to the foul-mouthed, in-your-face TV chef Gordon Ramsay, but that's what Fox TV is hoping for if they want her proposed new show, Fashion Nightmares, to ape Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. The net is talking with the former Spice Girl and fashion "scion" with her dvb Style denim brand to do a show in the style of Kitchen Nightmares. In that US version of the BBC hit, the chef goes to troubled restaurants and diagnoses what's wrong and how they must fix it. Ramsay's way includes many expletives deleted and mucho histronics. Like the UK version, Fox's US variation has been a hit.

Ms. Beckham, no stranger to reality TV shows, would travel the states to remake fashion failures. Makeover shows are hardly new. What Not to Wear on TLC is based on a UK series of the same name, and Bravo introduced Tim Gunn's Guide to Style last year, spinning Tim off from Project Runway. The twist in this new show is that instead of going to individuals who can't find their way out of their closet -- or shouldn't! -- Posh would go to bad boutiques, horrible havens where fashion has been a figment of somebody's warped imagination, and she'd show them the way to style, class and wardrobe wonderland. All righty!

Speaking of Project Runway, Vic was on the finale as a celebrity judge just last night. She looked lovely, but she was sweet and gentle. Maybe she'll have to be Gordonized before Fox gives her the go-ahead.
