The Daily Show: March 6, 2008 - VIDEO

Jon Stewart"Indecision 2008": Remember how Michigan and Florida had their primaries early and nobody cared? Yeah, well now people totally do care and they want do-overs. Didn't see the neck-and-neck race coming, did ya? I know some other things were discussed, but I can't quite remember. My brain actually fizzled out once they showed the Michigan mitten/Florida wang wank. What is The Daily Show putting their graphics department through? First the 9/11 sex bed and now... this. I hope they don't show it again, because I've heard it might lead to blindness or a hairy Lansing.

"Terms of Endorsement": Now that John McCain has pretty much gotten the Republican nomination all wrapped up, all he needed was a little endorsement chat with President Bush. After McCain's seemingly painful struggle to repress his loathing enough to make a speech and endorse Bush back in 2000, one would think that Bush would be willing to return the favor. But no. No, it seems Bush only likes him as a friend. Isn't that always the case?

I must also note that we should probably expect to see that dancing Bush footage a lot more in the future. God, that's good.

"Crude Awakening": More clips of Bush from 2000! Those are always hilarious slash tremendously depressing. Believe it or not, Bush used to criticize the Clinton administration's methods with energy, letting oil prices skyrocket to $31 a barrel. I think I actually gasped out loud at that part. Seriously, you guys, oil prices have reached a new high recently, to $104 a barrel. Ugh, it hurts my soul (and my wallet). Middle East Correspondent Aasif Mandvi joined in to elaborate. By the way, I quite loved "wind cats". Wind cats!

The night's guest was Tom Daschle, promoting his book Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis. Daschle, looking unusually sharp, talked about health care, of course, and oxygen reimbursement, over which Jon and I shared tremendous confusion. They also discussed Daschle's new status as a Superdelegate and his support of Barack Obama. Overall, it was a pretty well-rounded interview.

Jon/Stephen: What's the deal with Hillary "Saddam" Clinton? I swear, I thought Stephen said "Sodom", which may have been funnier. Moment of Zen: Bush brought the awkward LOLZ with McCain.
